What the hell did she do that for?? Did anyone bother to ask her what time of the month it was for her?

Please explain what you mean by "single action mode." I own a Beretta 92F and the only way I'm aware of firing the first shot single action is to release the safety and thumb the hammer back. Are you saying that LVPD carried the pistols cocked with a round in the chamber and with the safety off? If that's the case, then more than that one cop should have been held accountable.

Obvoiusly finger on the trigger too long. She was as surprised as the partner and perp. She shouldn't have had her finger on the trigger unless she intended to shoot.

She was as surprised as anyone.... this was an accidental discharge I think....
No excuse for it.

This is what happens when they give police jobs to the lowest common denominator to encourage diversity.
I do not induldge in denegrating women, I are one. However, I have to say most women are not suited to be police, gun toting cops. They do not think with thier heads, they react!
I wasn't meaning my statement to denegrate her sex; it is her intelligence I questioned.
Sorry if I offended anyone. I should have made thst clearer.

Well, if she was supposed to be prone on the guy she had to be ready.
It is risky when cops are carrying semi autos with a relatively light trigger pull. As often has I have seen them jumping around yelling 'ON THE GROUND! ON THE GROUND!' all hyper with guns drawn, I am a little surprised it doesn't happen more often.

Well, as much as you don't indulge in it, you just did. I 'R' one too.... and happen to know I am cooler under pressure than a lot of people. Lets just keep it about Miss Jittery here in the video. :~D

You can't trust a woman on a cellphone while driving an oversized truck, let alone with a gun.... This affirmative action and women's equality crap has gone too far. This video is a strong "case and point" for that. Oh blow it out your shorts!

Wonder who was more pissed, the perp or the partner!!! The video looks like the bullet impacted close to the partner's foot, and the perps head.

This story regarding the accidental discharge, reminds me of the one that came out a few days ago about a lady cop putting down a fearsome cocker spaniel, who's only threatening weapon was the drool on its chin. The owner was out in the back-yard with the dog. She had talked a male friend out of suicide, and the cops had been called to assist. By the time they arrived, the actual danger of suicide had passed and ever-one was out in the back-yard including the dog when the doggicide happened.
Some of you Freepers surely saw the story, it was posted for discussion here...sorry...having a little trouble finding the thread links.
I mention the above incident in relation to the accidental discharge because I think there is something wrong in police-land. I think many women can do well as police officers, but I think the psychological testing profiles need to be adjusted in the "Emotional reactivity and temperment department" or what ever eqivalents these tests are supposed to measure!

There's some truth to that.. How many SUV's have you seen parked across three spaces lately?

Yeah, definately incompetent with a weapon.
This also is very telling about personal security. I watched a show by a security expert a while back and he said "If someone is pointing a gun at you, throw your wallet away and run, most homicides occur at less than 10 feet and over that most gunshot wounds are not fatal. If you get in a car with someone, you're fatality likelyhood goes over 80%"
This video shows that a cop who is AIMING missed and she probably regularly shoots at the range.
