Given the source (Newmax), it probably ought to be taken with a grain of salt. But, seriously, the White House needs to get to the bottom of this. If it turns out not to be true, we're no worse off for investigating. But if it's true.....

The carreer dipomatic corps of the State Dept. do have a role to play in Iraq.

I do agree in part with the above statement however. States role should be secondary to security.
