I can agree with you on this point. I'm afraid we'll be awfully busy trying to stop gay marriage from being mandated by the courts -- pretty much a given after this ruling unless congress develops a backbone and passes a Marriage Amendment -- to have time to work on that issue. Maybe we could start suing gay organizations that claimed in the past gay sex was safe. We could sue bath houses and stuff like that. Also, gay mags that promote promiscuous activities. Heck, we could sue Larry Flynt for what his publication promotes and thereby costs the taxpayers. If we start thinking like liberal activists, the opportunities are endless. Forget laws, we need to seek answers through the courts, just like the liberals.

And all the money we win in court should go directly to taxpaying people only. That will eliminate most liberals.

Yes... the fact this act was legal for heterosexuals and illegal for homosexuals smacks of bigotry. The law needed to be overturned, but not for "privacy" reasons. It should have been simply declared "discriminatory." I tend to agree.
Most of those who support such laws seem to be religious hypocrites or gay hating bigots.
We don't need these kind of people playing sex police in everybody's lives.

The Supreme Court, which has agreed to hear a case on sodomy, must take a close look at new scientific evidence that shows why anal intercourse kills people.Pleeze!
Don't attmpt to confuse the soopremes with evidence!

The country is done. I really believe that. I really do believe this great nation is wounded beyond any hope of repair or regeneration. This ruling has lead you to this conclusion?
Remember that sodomy laws have been removed from the books or struck down by the courts in most states long ago.
Perhaps we can restore the former glory of this "great nation" by adopting the practices of fundamentalist Muslim states and stone homosexuals, shoot women in the head in public for unfaithfulness etc. etc???
I don't think so.

It isn't the decision itself, so much as what they said, and the implications that what they said has for the future of this nation.
The court took sides in the culture war, just as Scalia said, and there will be no end to the flood of lawsuits and assaults on societal and cultural norms now.
That's why.

The court took sides in the culture war, just as Scalia said, and there will be no end to the flood of lawsuits and assaults on societal and cultural norms now. I don't see this decision as an assault on societal and cultural norms...but rather a confirmation of them.
The great majority of Americans simply don't want the sex police going into the bedrooms of consenting adults to arrest them for things like adultery and homosexuality.
I don't think this will, or should result in a flood of lawsuits you describe above.
But time will tell if I am wrong.

Yep. I like this tactic you're suggesting. It's what happened to the Tobacco industry and what may be happening to the fast food industry. "Blame someone else for my problems" is the mantra of liberals everywhere. Fight fire with Fire!

This thread was discussing Homo Health. Want to start a thread on other minorities? None of their concerns absord anything like the disproportionate amount of health care research as the Homo disease, now do they?

Heart disease is something which affects potentially 100% of Americans, not 1%, yet the costs of handling the disease shamelessly spread by the 1% are of the same order as those affecting the 100%. This is disgusting and a tremendous misallocation of American's health care funds.
Save a Homo only by condemning dozens of others who could have been saved.

I don't know. To review, I'm against Bush approving 15 Billion in funds for Africa AIDS so I'm not sure your post is directed at the right person. Meanwhile, as I've typed this, how many women have been diagnosed with breast cancer that wasn't acquired thru an unhealthy lifestyle choice?

Probably most. My late wife certainly didn't.
I was responding to your post to me earlier.

Apologies.
Also apologies about your late wife. My wife lost her mom to breast cancer a month after we were married. I hope a cure is found soon.
meanwhile, the flamers are still bitching for more funding so they can return to the glory days of unprotected sex without consequence. Whatever happened to the study that said that the hypothalamus in gay men was smaller than in heteros? I think it was quickly covered up due to the fact that it would classify gays as mentally handicapped.
which they are, IMO.
