What a couple of loonies those two are. I hope they throw the book at her and I hope it sticks. I could tell from the first word out of her mouth that she was one of these know it all smart a$$es and I'll be darned if the husband isn't just as bad. I feel sorry for that poor baby being raised by those two.
Apparently, they are self-avowed members of the cult-like Libertarian Party, which explains a lot.

It does beg the question, of course, what Barnhill will do once he places the prosecutor under citizen's arrest: take him to the Barnhill personal jail, put him on trial in front of the Barnhill personal court, sentence him to the Barnhill personal prison....
The LP does support private jails and hire-a-judge kangaroo courts. Perhaps the Flakey Party has their own dungeons where they punish meter maids and crosswalk guards for infringing on the freedoms of others.

The LP does support private jails and hire-a-judge kangaroo courts. Sounds like the Montana Freemen to me.
If you saw the police videotape on O'Reilly last night, she was weaving all over the road. When she finally got out the car at the tollbooth, she was holding the baby with one arm and had a cellphone glued to her ear.

She had that smarmy "attitude" that really grates...Didn't she, though? And this business about having been sexually assaulted twice and assaulted by troopers "several times".... you know, people who make these sorts of "often, several times" claims instantly arouse my suspicions. I've known a few personally and they tend to be really, really strange (okay, crazy) people. You know the type, they have a short, neutral conversation with someone, you watch the conversation and see nothing whatsoever untoward, and then afterward they whisper to you, "did you see how he was looking at me!? He obviously wanted to rape me!" (Yes, I really have known a few people like this.)
To: A_perfect_lady
You know, I really have to question the judgment of both of them. After all, this seems to be a woman *especially* vulnerable to assualt, but yet her husband, who won't let her speak without his permission, failed to ensure her safety by allowing her and their infant to travel an interstate for hours without a protector--and given the number of assaults this woman claims to have experienced, he allowed his wife and child to be exposed to being attacked at the rest area and on the road.
Tsk, tsk, tsk.

The Bible has two verses that aptly describes these two kookoos
From Proverbs 17:
17:10 A reproof enters more into a wise man than an hundred stripes into a fool.
17:11 An evil man seeks only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.

Great. Just freakin' great. Another whackjob calling himself a Libertarian is NOT what we smart, honest, save-the-Constitution Libertarians need.

Do ya think Barnhill will be wearing a tinfoil sheriff's hat when he arrests the prosecutor?

That's a good point. Yeah, these two are just a pair of BS Artists (and not great ones). They're the type who spends most of their time looking for rules to break and ways to get away with it.

I'm really upset I missed this interview. This topic has been so entertaining for the past week, seeing them in living color may have sent me over the edge of glee. Either that or it would have made me want to throw a shoe at my television.
I do feel sorry for the poor child though. She doesn't stand a chance.

There may be hope for the child. I don't know if it's the husband or the wife behind the wheel, so to speak, of this "marriage", but maybe one of them will come to his/her senses. Maybe "God" will "command" one of them to leave. Let's just hope the saner parent will raise the child.

This was my first time seeing them too, and I was too freaked out by them to either be gleeful or throw shoes. I had that "holding still and scenting danger" feeling that I always get when I realize I'm in the presence of Extreme Personality Disorders. I'm no psychiatrist, but I've observed people diagnosed with narcissism and this woman sure made me think of them. Hubby wasn't any better, but in her it was most striking because of the evident, purring self-satisfaction in her face, combined with very large, direct brown eyes and a pseudo-intelligent verbal delivery. This is the type of girl who's always been described as "very smart" and who believes it whole-heartedly. That baby will never be any more to her than an accessory, a possession, a glorification of her. That was a world-class devouring ego I saw.

Your description of that woman is perfect. Her verbal delivery was certainly one of a person who thinks she is smarter than anybody else. That's her whole attitude. Her whole appearance says that "I am smarter than you and I can get away with anything I want and there is nothing you can do to stop me." Well, I hope they stop her before something terrible happens to that child.
To: WatchOutForSnakes
Intelligence without experience, humility, respect for others, or emotional maturity can be deadly. It manifests itself as extreme arrogance and an ever-diminishing capacity to see other humans as just as important. To people like this, everyone else is a cardboard cut-out facing them, part audience, part target, deserving of no rights and no consideration, existing to gaze in awe and nod in agreement. This type of person is quick and verbally gifted, and that's the sort of ability that often fools others into thinking it represents far more wisdom than it does. But often there is nothing behind it, and the "smart" person is really no more than an excellent verbal juggler.
And if she's pretty, the combination is almost guaranteed to be disastrous. The attention she gets for being "smart and pretty" engenders a hunger in her for more and more admiration, like a carbohydrate junkie who needs more chocolate every couple hours. Yes, I hope the child survives this budding Medea as well.
By the way... I was born in the Year of the Snake. Watch out for me! ;^)
