They also note that none of the votes he missed has been close enough that his presence would have swayed the outcome. That alone makes me mad. I would hope all the democrats take up this tatic more often. What ever happened to quiet voting.

I don't recall him saying "I'll be there for North Carolina unless I have a campaign obligation" when he was running for the Senate. Every person I've met in recent months who has discussed Edwards mentions the fact that he hasn't been there for his constitutents.
This is coming from people I would guess are not nearly as well versed on political news as we are.
If the average voters are that aware he's been playing hooky, he can forget using a second Senate term as a "safety" when his Presidential bid fails.

How many has Hillary missed on her book tour?

Have seen him, and his body language says "momma's boy" to me. However, I think he may be the man to beat, and we may have some trouble beating him. Remember what a lightweight con man Clinton seemed? Turned out to be a heavyweight con man.

Freepers, rather than waiting to see what happens with Estrada, we need to take the lead. That means presuring Senators, special interest groups, media organizations, etc. This thread is meant to be an ongoing effort to get this man confirmed. For too many years liberals have had their way on the courts. Now, President Bush is in a position to move the courts to the right. The election of '02 showed that the country is with the President. I think it's time to let Daschle, Hillary, and Pelosi know this is Bush country. Are you with me! Let's FREEP these people.
