"No, YOU get a DVD player and watch all the horse sex and homo porn and whatever you want."

Uhm, I've never seen any actual horse sex or homo porn on primetime TV yet... maybe i'm not watching the right channels...

"I am the ultimate V-Chip in this house."

bingo. Maybe this stuff will actually encourage parents do actually BE parents instead of letting the TV do it for them.

I thought taht was the name , or nickname for tha Turk in the prison with Danny that he kills after betraying John Hurt's character. *A little fuzzy* my recollection is.

Not channeling Yoda either.

"Unrelated. Abortion kills someone. TV doesn't."

but but but what about all those kids who copy what they see on beavis and butthead or jackass?? /sarcasm

When I was a teen, the house rule was "MTV is off limits." So, we didn't watch MTV. The parent has the ultimate decision over what they let their kids watch. If they can't control their kids, it's not my problem, it's theirs.

"Just dont bring it into the homes of those who dont want it--who dont even want the 5 SECONDS of it they would be forced to see before they got hold of the remote. "

I didn't buy your TV for you. And I don't set your parental controls. That's your responsibility, not mine.

There's a problem in the cockpit......

what is it?

Its'a room in front of the plane where the pilot sits, but that's not important right now.

It's fulfilling...

Indeed. Some people learn to work with watercolors. Some people take up golf. Some people volunteer at their local hospital.

Chad screws with federal agencies. : )

"This might not be the best example, but what if you don't watch it, your kids don't watch it, but the kids in your childs class do, and decide to re-enact the dialogue and the scene with your child at play time."

Then you get the oppurtunity to discuss with your kids what is appropriate and what is not.

"If they are not into social engineering in addition to making money, why do so many shows on TV either have a gay character or have innuendos? Did people ask for these characters and lines to be included in the shows? I highly doubt it. This is called social engineering!"

Because those shows get MORE RATINGS. Ever watch Will&Grace? It's hilarious and I'm sure makes them great money. Obviously people do want to watch those types of things because if it didn't make money, it wouldn't be on the air. It's ALL ABOUT MONEY.

Get a life! Exercise a little self control and control over the children in your home. If you don't like the content turn the damn thing off. I don't need you to make these decisions for me!

"For heaven's sake, though, don't read Chaucer or Rabelais. What you saw on TV wouldn't even touch what you might read in some of the world's enduring literature. "

He or she might want to stay away from the Bible too. All those concubines, prostitutes and the whole Song of Solomon might just upset her(or him) a bit too much.
