Your response speaks volumes, and shows your open-minded attitude.

After all, it is even in the bible, for those that insist there are no UFO's or surprises left for mankind.

The only real evaluation one can make is that "WE REALLY DO NOT KNOW".

My best guess for an overall evalution of the program on cable itself. There is likely 50% fact, and 50% fantasy.
Knowing which is fact, which is fantasy is the difficult part.

As far as UFO's go, I really believe there are two basic kinds.
One is the advanced technology (physical). Too many normal people saw the evidence during the ROSWELL incident.
They discussed the plastic which a large sheet of could be wadded into a ball so small that you could hardly detect you were still holding it in your hand, sounds weird, but only to those that do not understand the means of travel in the future.
I can tell you what it is, and where you can see a fantasy example.
Not all ideas are originated in the mind of man. Well, none are, actually. But, that is a different discussion.
The point is that we see now the stealth technology in use, and don't relate to the fact that this technology was developed in the late 50's. Is it a coincidence that this is right after the Roswell incident?

The 'story' is that we reverse engineered our current technology from the information we got after recovering 'alien' craft.

Whether the technology was 'alien' or just someone else on earth more advanced than the US was at the time (Germany specifically) is also at question.

Most people do not believe Germany was WAY WAY ahead of us during WWII, but the truth is that they were. And not many know exactly how much. Their economy was as much their downfall as the US stepping in the war. There were also small events that caused large problems. (again, another story).

The US should consider itself very lucky. Had it not been for defectors from Russia and Germany, we might be slaves.
I laugh when I hear others speak of the technology that we do or do not have, like based on satellites in orbit. I personally watched Russia Demo an attack satellite using a new technology we did not have, back in the 70's. A defector had given us the info and we were in process of developing the same weapon, while this demo occurred.

Yet, I would bet money that it is still only myself and a limited set of people in the government and intelligence communities that know it exists.

SO, the UFO's could be just advanced technology developed on earth, that we didn't have at the time, and didn't want our population to know that we didn't have, but another country did. (and this has happened not just once, but several times, in several different arenas).

The other UFO's are in the not-material/other dimension category. Basically, above our ability to comprehend, with our current understanding of the material world only.

Gee, just the technology we have available to everyone, is not even known or understood by most.
I have a little device that you can buy at a good hardware supply. It can detect wood or nails,or anything behind a wall/any material, or wiring, and tell you if it has current through it, and do so through very thick walls. It detects any change in density up to a depth of over a foot.
Yet most I show it to, never saw anything like it. And it is 10 years old.

Your last paragraph is the most rational statement I have seen in a long time.
What is to come, we can not even begin to imagine right now.
When we can imagine it, then is the time. The key is the word imagine.
The key is in the Bible. LOGOS.

If you or anyone had ANY evidence, you'd show it.

No we wouldn't. Not to you anyway.

It's been a long time since I read so many paragraphs in this ball park--so many paragraphs which are so congruent with my own construction on reality.

THANKS ENORMOUSLY FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT.

BLESSINGS TO YOU AND ALL YOUR CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS WITH TONS OF GOD'S INITMACY AND COMMUNICATION.

Jonathan Frakes played #1 on Star Trek:The Next Generation, and hosted the original Alien Autopsy show on Fox.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, I C.

What I get for not paying that much attention to who plays what. Hard to believe I'm a Trek fan. Priorities, I guess.

Thanks.

You're falling all to pieces, take it easy. All I mean to point out is that noone should hang their hat on that TV program; close observation, even by a layman, makes plain that the dudes in lab coats were not scientists, not even poor besotted drunken broke Russian ones. Even the poor loser Russians know a thing or two about The Scientific Method. Pleaaaaaaaaase.

Soooooooooooooooo,

please tell us oh illustrious professional PhD researcher . . .

What kind of systematic analysis have you done on the relative qualities of data in the field over the last 35 years?

Not falling to pieces in the slightest.

Just not convinced you are remotely as wise about the over all topic as you seem to think you are.

I don't have a reliable clue about the Russian thing in terms of hard facts either.

I have my impressions based on my criteria and you have yours.

You think yours are so much more reasonable and 'scientific.' You could be right. You could be wrong.

If your 'scientific insights' are as connected to your pride as they seem to be--I'm not the least bit impressed by their objectivity nor soundness.

You also don't have a clue about the quality of my first hand relative and close friends sources.

Yet you form rigid, firm, stern etc. opinions about them basedon your assumptions about them.

Very scientific, that. /sarcasm.

And you think I'm the strange one. Sheesh.

You have now mentioned special sources of knowledge about 63 and a half times. You've even gone so far as to accuse me of having an opinion about your special little secret evidence, which since it's secret is quite absurd. No matter how hard you try, I'm not gonna ask what they are. I don't wanna know.

Citing secret or special knowledge or evidence is a great way to pretend to win an argument. It's kinda like a TV show.

I saw a light in the sky once when I was about 12. I did. It appeared to be far up in the heavens quite far off from the Earth, moving at what must have been an astonishing rate. And then it did something really astonishing, it made a sudden 90 degree turn, never slowing down. Soon enough it was beyond my sight.

Now do you consider this evidence of ET? (hint: I don't)

I consider it a strange light.

There are many explanations. ET is one of them.

It is interesting that ET inhabited craft have been seen before and after landing or taking 'abductees' doing precisely that kind of manoeuver.

So . . . therefore what. God only knows.

But you are not alone in seeing such things by a long shot.

It's mostly not that important to "win an argument" in this ball park any more.

I mostly like to discuss the issues with folks who have more familiarty with the subject and more openness to the possibilities.

I sometimes like giving cheeky detractors some of their cheekiness back.

I'm confident enough and secure enough in my constructions on reality to not feel threatened at all by your position on such topics.

Besides, I don't even have that many firm positions on that much of the data. It's far toooooo complex and strange to form firm positions on.

I am convinced that most of the ET races most visibly dinking around with our planet are not to be trusted and are likely bent on aiding the AntiChrist Global Government Tyranny folks.

They might not even need to play that card (real or faked) since they are already having so much success advancing global tyranny.

Nonetheless, there are millions of Patriots who have taken an oath to "protect and defend the Constitution from ALL enemies", and that includes space goblins if they exist and if they ever choose to show up here.

For what it's worth, my money will be on the side of the defenders of the Republic.

WOW!

I'm surprised that you'd make such an absurd statement.

1) YOU HAVE OPINIONS about my sources being unreliable, unqualified, and/or giving unreliable, unqualified, idiotic, useless, meaningless and/or some such information in this subject area or else you'd give them more credence!!!

2) Having 0.0% respect, confidence in my sources then allows you to trash them/and/or my information from them with smug arrogance.

And still you insist you have no opinions about my sources/information.

Is your mirror really THAT broken?

Get a new one.

I never expressed any opinions whatsoever about your secret sources. Again, how could I since they haven't been revealed to me. The only thing I recall criticizing was the amateurish UFO TV program that was the original subject of this thread.

And how on Earth can you feel or not feel threatened by my "positions" on these issues? Those haven't been revealed to you.

You are making faulty assumptions I think. If you must know, I do believe it ET, and have seen my share of convincing (but not incontrovertable) 'evidence'. All of that has nothing to do with my points about this ridiculous show on TV.

I will admit I've been overly cross and sarcastic on this thread; but I can't help junking junk science. The notion that you take these points as some sort of attack on your own private and personal and still unstated evidence or experience is simply surreal. I don't know you, your relatives or your story, so what on Earth (sorry) are you talking about?

1) I express opinions XYZ based on various sources who are relatives and close friends.

2) You, in essence, articulate that my opinions are idiocy, nonsense, stupid, dumb, ignorant etc.

3) You insist that you have said nothing about maligning my sources etc.

4) You think I'm stupid enough to avoid making the connection between your attitudes regarding my sources and their information whether you state such or not, whether I elaborated with specifics or not.

5) Fascinating blindness.

6) Words, phrases, sentences have implications. Perhaps that's a new concept for you.

I don't know that the show in and of itself would be overly impressive.

In the context of other sources saying similar or the same things . . . it is interesting.

And, it's interesting that other bright people come up with quite different reactions than yours.

I've been trying to be generous but enough is enough. I think yer nutz. I called you a sap. Once. Anything else you ascribe to me is a product of your own delusions of grandeur blended with a heaping portion of persecution complex.

A final thought before I concede this entire thing to you: I still haven't formed any opinion about any evidence you or anyone else may produce. No thoughtful person would.

For all I know, it is perfectly possible that your relatives are all visiting aliens themselves while you remain a mere nutcase of a human. I retain my right to evaluate the evidence when it's presented and never before. The way you expect me (and presumably anyone else reading this stupid thread) to accept your evidence sight unseen suggests the worst about your regard for real scientific inquiry.

I'll tell you, the real reason I chimed into this thread, the tin foil brigade has always hurt this board's credibility. Goofy threads almost always have an old timer show up to kick the tires and see what's under the hood. This one wasn't pretty.

You've had my last word.
