Seeing him has nothing to do with it... He still wears her wedding ring doesn't he?

"If it was Keyes vs. Hillary, I'd really have to think long and hard who to vote for... and Hillary would probably win out..."

This says a lot about the current state of the "Republicans". Likely much more than you intended to state

Who says Keyes or Paul are Republicans? I certainly wouldn't qualify Paul to be...

Race has nothing to do with it... Blacks will find a way to communicate that Hillary is more black, even than Condi...

Well, if some Demon cats cans say that Bill was the first black president, we still have our work cut out for us. Keep the faith. My opinion is, Hillary is of the Evil One.

I work with many well educated middle class african americans, they are not the harry belafonte, jesse jackson, al sharpton loving crowd. they would be attracted to a ticket with Rice on it, and I know they voted for Gore.

I could not agree with you more, oceanview.

In 1988, I watched Bill Clinton make that horrific speech at the Dem convention and later wondered many times how ANYONE could vote for this man. It happened.

Being harsh here: If Freepers don't get off their a**es and keyboards, and help Republican candidates NOW, they will have no one to blame but themselves. Because we see Hillary for what she is.

The biggest disappointment that I have with this site is that many of my fellow Freepers are quick to offer something here, but very slow to actually do something that gets votes or wins elections.

Whether the ultra-right wing here agrees or not, a Republican is always going to be MORE likely to vote with the issues that we hold dear. Never is a Democrat more likely to vote with us.

The second FR disappointment is that much time is spent talking about what President Bush is doing that he could be doing BETTER or more conservative-ly. Or bashing the Republicans that we do have (Sen. Dole, etc.).

We must WIN a solid majority, then we can discuss how far right or more right the Republican Party should go.

And before anyone asks, I already do my part, and more. There's much work to be done. </soapbox>

About 2008, what do you think of Senator Frist?

Must respectfully disagree. MOST sitting veeps who run for president lose; GHW Bush was the first sitting veep to be elected since...ready?...Martin VanBuren.

Condi would walk all over Hillary in 2008, postulating that she would run (I've heard it said that she has no interest. Sad, if it's true). The RATs can't win if they only get 3/4ths of the black vote, or less, and Condi would of course get a decent %age of that voting bloc.

there is a very large african american middle class in this country who think for themselves, lets not stereotype because of belafonte, jackson and sharpton. All I am saying is that 15% of the african american vote is possible, I am not saying we can get 40%, just 15%.

Yeah he is a windbag. Obviously a good communicator but the guy constantly interrupts his oponents. He'd be a better cabinet secretary.

I think Newt underestimates her chances.

Substantially underestimates them, I think.

Newt is an astute observer of things political and while I find what little is known of his personal life to be perplexing, he is to be put in the same category as Dick the-repentant-toe-sucker Morris. Both these guys should be listened to, but hardly taken as credible in all pronouncements. That said, Newt & Dick both know:

1. Hillary Regina is running.
2. She is a megalomanic and opportunistic infection of the body politic. She will take whatever power she can get.
3. She will lay back and work the smokey corridors of power in the sick Democrat nomination process - angling for a last minute draft. I am convinced she would take a VPOTUS slot in '04 if that were all that was available. (The entire American electorate would then have an insurable interest in the life of any POTUS with her in the second position!)
4. She has the cemetary vote locked; 30% of voters are media numbed and the media will put Goebbels to shame, if Hill runs - the propaganda blizzard will beggar the imagination.

Thus, I find Newt's 1-in-3 odds a little low, but not unreasonable.

The speculation relative to her 'arrangement' with Bubba Rex must be based on her Nietzschean will-to-power. If it would help her to divorce him, she will. Bubba's only utility is as a fund raiser. If that diminishes, Hill will distance herself from him. A divorce would put her even more in the limelight and set her apart as a force.

I tend to agree with J. Noble on this thread: '08 is too late.

OK. You read it here. She will run in '04. She will divorce Bill (personal issues notwithstanding). She has a slightly less than 50% chance of winning. (Should we start a winner-takes-all pot for the best guess - payable on the first Wednesday in November '04?).

"Other things he said almost verbatim: "

What does "almost verbatim" mean? If there is anything I learn again and again on FR it is to read closely.

I'd sooner believe Susan Estrich. She certainly has been bold in her statements. Susan said that people have to realize how polarizing and divisive Hitlery is and that if she becomes a candidate, Hitlery will end up motivating the right to a level never before seen, and a lot of dems don't like her either.

Although no one else is saying this - Susan was right on about the last several attacks from the dems leveled at Bush. She was quite candid about the attacks and said they were wrong and they would only end up harming the dems - she turned out to be correct.

OK, we'll get some freeper to marry [Condi] and impregnate her. Will that make you happy? Geez, some people are never satisfied.

What will help to make me happy is to know why an attractive woman who attains what she seeks, hasn't wanted to get married and have children.

What will also make me happier is to know why a political person hasn't commented on the great issue in our nation -- the slaughter of over 40 million unborn children by our fellow citizens.

In fact it would be nice to know what she thinks about anything domestically.

You must be pretty desperate to settle like this.

It means that I listened closely this morning to a rebroadcast of Hannity's show, and I'm certainly giving you the correct meaning and most all the words as well.
