Why do you have to keep insulting people. Surely you don't think that helps your case.
Nobody here that I can see is for big government, I haven't seen anyone a proponent of big government.
So why don't you take a deep breath, take a step back and don't make leaping assumptions of what people may be thinking.
As I said, while there is a whole spectrum of conservatives, being intolerant of other conservatives will just asssure that liberals defeat us at every turn and you will really get a big government, a big daddy government.

All I can say is thanks for all you guys do, Jim. Let us really be honest. There is no website that I know of on the internet as thorough with news, etc, as Free Republic. And we do appreciate it.
Thanks again,
Brad

Circle O1 = Conservative Principles and Complete adherence to our Constitution
Circle O2 = Republican Party
Superimpose O2 on O1 (You'll notice that only a portion of O2 covers O1 - Color that
ellipse White)
Color the left-out portion of O1 red and the left-out portion of O2 blue.
Red = Conservative Principles unfilled by the RP and conversely, blue = nonconservative principles or policies enacted upon by the RP.
The red and blue portions represent areas of conflict between Conservatives and the RP whereas the white ellipse represents areas of agreement or fulfillment (happiness) ;)
IMHO as Conservatives our goal is O1 using O2 as a vehicle to achieve such goals. Admittedly, it is the only vehicle we presently have but, it is to our benefit that the white ellipse portion be as large as possible. If it shrinks in size it lessens the chances of obtaining O1 (our conservative goals).
This depiction, however simple, does portray our need to keep our vehicle in the best shape possible and on the right course so that we can effectively use it to reach our destination - O1. My loyalty is with O1 whereas my hope is with O2 as an effective means.

So, you agree that our government is unprincipled. At least you are awake as opposed to agreeing with some of these dead-dumb-blind republocrats ... what a welcome relief.

"So, you agree that our government is unprincipled"
Where did I say that? I never said that.
I said that I and I am sure most others agree that our government is too big, but who do you think is the worst culprit? The Democrats who want to just "take care of all of us" and unless the Republicans stop them they will succeed.
To: FairOpinion
Is government a principled institution? Is it conservative or liberal?

Not sure but it is good. A dark roast. I crushed the beans at the store and bring a bag home. Is there any brand you can suggest?

Yes, If you are a Coffee Lover there is only one.......
"Lavazza", since you are in NY this should not be a problem for you. It's a premium brand so a little $$$$. So if that is an issue, just treat yourself on the weekend. I hope you will report back to me on what you think of it. There are many different blends to choose from.

Besides the "R" after his name, what's the difference between McCain and Hillary?Oh boy. Tough question. Let's see, one's a doddering old fool with dreams of grandeur the other's a megamaniacal festering puss filled demon from the darkest regions of hell.
So, given that McCain were the R ticket and Hitlery was the D ticket, who would you vote for?

What you need to do...is find a "cold brewer" and try a cup. You'll quite possibly never drink a hot brewed/perked cup again..!!
