Note the source for this story is the New York Times. Is there any confirmation from the legitimate press?

Yes.

If there is ANY inkling of truth to this Sen Frist and Sen Hatch need to put a choke hold on this guy! To try to sway things is one method, but to stand so stubborn and let this go on until the story went public makes the ENTIRE party look bad after all we have done (rightfully) to gain military support.

Craig is taking advantage of a time-honored senate practice that allows a senator to block a nomination, promotion or even legislation and do so indefinitely and anonymously. Shame on Craig and shame on the Senate for allowing such a stupid system. How about governance rather than blackmail...

Someone needs to sit down with Mr. Craig and give him the "straighten your act out IMMEDIATELY" lecture.

the source for this story is the New York Times ABC Radio News this morning sourced a couple of their stories to the Times. Perhaps ABC TV News has completed their takeover of the radio side.

Once again we see that in a lot of ways there ain't a damned bit of difference between the Republican senators and the Democrat senators.

That's Carl Lijmbacher's byline (NewsMax.com) for those of you who don't trust Democrat-party publications like the NY Times.
This is the kind of nonsense you'd expect from a backwards state that doesn't carry its own weight (like West Virginia). The people of Idaho should be demanding Craig's resignation.
So should Frist and Warner. Either that or they should send him down to the Democrat party, where this sort of thing is admired.

Shame on Craig and shame on the Senate for allowing such a stupid system. How about governance rather than blackmail... I'm just about had it up to here with all these "hallowed, time-honored Senate traditions" that keep getting used to -
a). Do an end run around the Constitution
b). Thwart the will of the voters
c). Grab a fat wad of cash from Uncle Sugar's wallet to be used to buy votes back home.

This is the kind of pure BS career military members have come to expect over the years...FROM A WORTHLESS DEMOCRAP! This idiot should be pulled into the back room by the rest of the party and beaten severly about the head and shoulders. Taking on the POS tactics of the enemy party is unforgivable.
