Well, according to some on this forum, using the word "damn" is un-Christian.

"On one final note, I do not believe "Government imposed thought" is the correct term. "Government limited freedom of speech" is probably more accurate".

As an example to prove my point, in America young people get indoctrinated in public (government) schools with behaviors and words that are either acceptable or unacceptable towards homosexuals, blacks, females, and minorities in general. Children are taught how to think regarding homosexual perversion, (with books like "Heather Has Two Mommies", and sex-ed classes showing how homosexuals "love" each other, and with rules proscribing the usage of certain words that may be offensive to particular minorities. Everything has a PC name, and these names are the officially sanctioned, government standard nomenclatures, like "gays", "Afro-American", etc.). Children are taught how to think regarding male-female interactions, (certain natural behaviors, like boy-chasing-girl in the playground, are now deemed to be "sexual harrassment"). This indoctrination can be called "political correctness" in the early stages. But the fact that people get jailed for "hate crimes" in later stages proves my point. People get punished for the crime they committed, and get punished further for their alleged thoughts during the crime. Getting extra punishment by a Judge for your thoughts and feelings during the commission of a crime is most certainly 'governmental imposed thought'. Especially in light of the fact that many people get punished for the 'thought' alone, with no crime involved whatsoever. An example of this would be a small company that gets fined for not hiring the government quota of minorities and women. The owner may indeed have been seeking only the best qualified workers for his business with not a thought of discrimination against anyone, but he/she will be fined none-the-less. This is not merely being limited by government, it is having our thoughts shaped by their rules. This is why I chuckle at the phrase "politically correct"---- it's become the understatement of the century.

Re: difference between continent of origin and race:

I worked with a guy who designated himself African-Anerican, he was the son of Italians who lived in Africa and thus was born there. Since he was clearly a "white" guy, drove everybody crazy. Hell, he was more Afican than anyone else.
