Fake cover, fake contents, fake signature . . . could the book be purchased with fake money?

Thank you for this report. Well done.

I've been working on a calendar based on news accounts and book store announcements. It should be ready in a couple days. I've learned of ten 'book signings' and two book parties so far.
If anyone would like to contribute to the calendar, freepmail or e-mail (kristinn@verizon.net) event info to me, please.

Check out this FR exclusive.
I suppose the sycophantic media will continue to talk about hrc doing "book signings".
To: kristinn
Mrs. Clinton is having difficulty keeping up with the expected demand for autographed books.Thats a weird statement.
If this self anointed woman did not write this book, yet seen signing the books, would she be libal?
Is the self anointed woman still receiving First lady protection?
If this s.a.w. is away all summer handing out pre-signs - how necessary is her position as senator?
and we keep on paying, yuck!!!

I have come to believe that Hillary has a deepseated distaste for, and phobia of, the public at large. It's pretty clear that she simply cannot handle unscripted appearances and also avoids as much as she possibly can appearances in front of any groups except handpicked ones. Certainly her true personality just by itself would be a huge turn-off for a lot of voters if they were permitted to see much of it. Given her poll data, it already has been from what little the public even gets to see of her.
I have a guess, as well, and that is that Hillary doesn't really come across as "the smartest woman in the universe" in unscripted moments, far from it. I'm guessing she gets rattled easily in public and says a lot of dumb things while constantly repeating her trademark "ya know".
Though I would not welcome it, a run for president hy Hillary would certainly be an interesting experience in desperately managed PR even beyond what algore's campaign was. I wonder if enough of the press would be willing to cover for her dismal lack of skill in this area. Certainly a healthy chunk of the lamestream media would sign right on and play along. I'm guessing that Hillary unscripted is actually significantly worse than alore's terminal mix of weirdness and arrogance.

Yeah, right. She's just afraid of being booed and/or Freeped. My theories are (in no particular order):
The receiving line idea keeps the peons moving along with little chance of a "scene" being caused, in case a member of the VRWC gets in.
She is not about to put in the effort to put pen to paper for a bunch of nobodies, or
She's afraid her real signature will be analyzed for personality traits and results would not be pretty.

Hear, hear.

I just heard you on Dom G's show. Good job. Great line that of course I can't remember now... Brain drain.. .

Will Hitlery sign the autographed "inserts" herself? Or will she hire someone to forge her signature for her? Or will they be mechanical reproductions of her signature? I wouldn't put it past Hitlery to authorize forged autographs.

Great idea. I wonder if you'll get thrown in an unmarked van like the real WH Travel Office employees were when Hillary fired them?

I'll bet that they are having trouble getting people interested in the book. I wouldn't doubt that a lot of the people who show up are paid to be there.
To: kristinn
"Pre Signed" that means printed there in a special run for the publicity tour. I would have to call that commercial fraud.

I'm not taking up for Martha Stewart but, if she was to pull a stunt like this, she would be trashed big time as someone who was aloof and too good to mingle with the untouchables.
Not quite the same stunt, but when Martha Stewart was guest of honor at a luncheon in Buffalo, NY, a few years ago, the attendees had all been assured that she would personally autograph copies of her book. Well, she signed a few but then abruptly left the room leaving a large number of disappointed fans. It caused a great stir and much unfavorable publicity for Martha.

Another store, Trover Books in Washington, D.C., where Mrs. Clinton will appear on June 12, has informed the public that for security reasons, no photography will be allowed at her 'book signing'. Only security reason I can think of is that people won't be able to determine that in fact it is Hillary's double who is at the event.
I wonder if the pre-autographs will be by the book's true authors, i.e., the ghost writers.
To: Marianne
I think I read about that on Drudge.
To: aristeides
Scary to think that Hillary could have a double.
To: kristinn
I would expect to see a substantial number of these autographed copies turn up on eBay over the next few months.

If this self anointed woman did not write this book, yet seen signing the books, would she be libal? It's her book. Having ghostwriters is accepted practice.
Is the self anointed woman still receiving First lady protection?
According to law, she'll be the last First Lady to receive lifetime protection. From now on, it's only ten years.
If this s.a.w. is away all summer handing out pre-signs - how necessary is her position as senator?
The book appearances look to be scheduled around Senate business. I doubt she'll miss many votes for the book tour.
