God is law abidingIt's impossible that an almighty being should be subject to anything, including his own law. God is faithful to his own nature, true, but to observe this is simply to observe God's transcendant integrity, not his obediance. God doesn't take an exam to be God.

Are you suggesting that the pro-life crowd would be better off making the amoral argument that abortion should be opposed because it goes our instinct of self preservation? I'm late to this show...but your question was excellent. Why not use the argument that abortion should be opposed because it goes our instinct of self preservation, the other side does not create policy from the result of logical deduction OR from what a sane person would consider moral. In politics...you want to WIN;...creating policy in a constitutional republic or a democracy or whatever the hell we are now, you have to incrementally change policy as your side wins. Using every possible arguement to "speak" to the largest crowd willing to listen makes sense to achieve polical and moral goals of conservatism.

Good to be on the same page, Thanks.

In politics...you want to win. In my opinion, that's the point. You must use every possible argument that you can. You simply must.

We're not that different are we? Good for us. Take care.
To: xbar
No, not compromise. Just doing whatever you can to change the mind of those we are trying to persuade.

How can you change hearts and minds when "government" has sanctioned evil? The only way we'll change the government later is to change the hearts and minds now.

Great article Cathyrn, the pro life movement should also talk about the efect it is having on tax rates. Less people, more socialism, is a time bomb waiting to go off.
