"The teacher, who works in an alternative school program for troubled youth,....."

I asked my brother once who worked in an "alternative school" , what the school was an "alternative" to, and he said Jail. Sounds like this student and family are ready for the alternative to the alternative school program.

Yup. Many times, special ed simply means "shouldn't be in school". I'm always amazed when teachers say to me "Where should they go? On the street?". I always answer "As opposed to locking them in a building with CHILDREN?"

While executing them earlier would probably prevent more crime,...

This is a proven fact. The past 30 years of legal abortions have been followed with a 15-20 year delay in a dramatic fall in crime rates (as well as Democratic votors - what are they thinking???).

Police say a mother and her two sons beat a teacher unconscious at school with a desk and a chair because she had suspended the younger boy.

The teacher...had suspended the boy for spitting in her face and pushing her....

Gee, I wonder where he learned such horrid behavior? What a great example of: The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

The child should be allowed to spit in the teachers face. And push her. As often as he likes. The teacher was way out of line for attempting to discipline such a delightful child

Yes. Of course. Clearly the teacher/oppressor-class-member missed an opportunity to celebrate diversity with this delightful family.

Schools will not be safe until desks and chairs are banned.

Why does anyone bother trying to help these people? I think miscreants like this should be eliminated. What purpose do they serve other than to terrorize law abiding citizens?

I dunno if it's in keeping with my purported compassionate conservatism (bwahaha), but I find myself puzzling over that question quite a bit...

Newburgh, NY -- Once a beautiful town with wide streets and gorgeous houses (sort of like Georgetown) and now it's a third-world toilet bowl.

Prosecute the mother (term used loosely) and the elder son, then remove the younger"tasmanian devil" from her care!

If I were a "liberal" thinker I would think it's about time to ban chairs from the class room so to prevent such a thing from happening again.

20 years ago one couldn't even comprehend such a thing happening. Now it is happening. I'm sure there will be a "stylish" attorney willing to take the case for the "aggressive victims" to make things right.

Ticked because they earn 15k and get no tax break...

And from what I have derived from this post it's obvious to me that 15k a year is somewhat excessive for them.

Well, I guess they know why the kids are "troubled."
