Negative. Defendants cannot choose the Judge.

That was a question pertaining to a jury vs only a judge hearing the evidence. It was not about a defendent choosing THE judge!

My appologies.......

What confused me was the use of the word judge. Normally the reference to the type of trial requested is "jury trial" or "trial by jury" or the alternative, "bench trial".

I should have paid closer attention to the context of the thread.

We lay people don't always use the correct legal term.

All I know about Chris Pixley is he's from Atlanta. LK like you said always introduces him as the "famed dfense attorney from Atlanta." A few months ago was his first time on and he was just "a defense attorney from Atlanta." Looks to me like they were trying to find a pretty face for the tube. I think he's a little too pretty with the very faint pink eyeshadow brushed on his eyelids, and then there's the smidge of lip gloss. Then what's up with his hair? I have yet to see a part, so I am thinking it's some rug action. It sweeps over in strange whisps toward the face. My friend and I have jokingly nicknamed him the "fairy pixy." Just a joke of course ...hee

I just put my puppy-child to bed....she's a good girl!

I just got back from the vet last night. My little 10 month old Chihuahua Fidel's baby teeth never fell out. So he has two sets of teeth on the upper jaw and two sets on the lower.

So we're extracting the baby teeth and then we have to put in braces!!! Brace on my chihuahua!!! LOL.

Wow that's really an odd thing about your pup! I hope everything goes well! I remember when I first got Gina, someone told me that you had just gotten a pup too.
I have to get Gina fixed in a couple of weeks and I'm stressing already!

Just look at Post 272. The poster suggested that now that the Rochas had gone into the house--against the will of Scott's attorneys--that the defense would proceed to claim that the scene had been "compromised" and that now the defense would be deprived of doing "their own investigation".

That was me. I'd be surprised if Mark doesn't take that tack ... but, as I said, he will ask for a dismissal but will surely be DENIED. But this is his opportunity to act indignant and wronged. He'll exploit it.

When I first got him he was only 15 ounces. I was told to watch out since toy puppies often have trouble with their teeth coming in. Last week I looked into his mouth since he seemed to have a lot of teeth and I freaked when I saw he has two sets of uppers and lowers and two sets of canines! :)

"Peterson said her son has a request, too: He wants his wife's wedding ring, another diamond ring that he bought her, and a few diamonds given to Laci by her grandmother. Peterson said the rings and gems had been taken to a jeweler, for crafting into one ring."
