I even heard somebody on MSNBC talking about "the garrot" around the baby's neck. I'm thinking to myself, that's EXACTLY how rumors get started.

True. But, as has been pointed out on the evening shows, the rest of the country is not far behind in exposure and thoughts of Scott's guilt.
