I don't travel well!
Based on what I've seen on TARs 1-4, that's exactly the type of people they want "cast" for the show to make things "dramatic", you know...
I humbly stand corrected.
That's what I get for trying to be first with some hot news and not checking the facts first.
As the King would say:
"Ah Thank Yew!, Thank Yew!, Thank Yew Vurry Much!"
What did you expect? Each received $500k before taxes and after the Federal, state and local governments get their cut from these two single men, there's a big portion missing - even less if the IRS considers TAR "gambling proceeds". Teri and Ian from last season probably kept most of their winnings since they were married and lived in Florida.
I like the fact that TAR's taping in the winter because there's a better chance of having more seasonal weather extremes during the course of the show. If the teams knew that they only had to pack light clothing the whole race, it would be a significant weight reduction in their luggage that they have to heft around the world. I particularly thought it was evil in TAR1 and TAR3 to have them stop in Alaska on the last leg because they couldn't chuck their cold weather gear until the last leg or risk running through the snow in shorts.
Any ideas on how to make the race more intense or places to go?
Apparently, in an interview just this week, Reichen stated that they have definitely, permanantly, officially split as of last Sunday. Guess they lasted longer than most Hollywood "marriages".
There was no surprise in my post. I can do the math and know all about taxes.
I just reporting the information that a friend of Chip and Rick told me.
