it is up to the press to also ask the questions and independently investigate a storyTranslation: you have no facts whatsoever to back up your claims and want to spread rumor and innuendo (in the form of 'unanswered questions'), in the hopes that Freepers will harass a reporter who refuses to print said rumor and inneuendo.
When you want to cite facts to support your claims, let us know.
Until then, you should probably start preparing yourself to begin shopping for office supplies at Staples as you are obviously doing Pine no good with your tactics here.

Behind Liberal Lines- What have you done to help poor Pine and the others?

As noted as nauseum, to date, you have done absolutely nothing to convince us that "poor" Pine isn't a greedy leech, feeding off the very taxpayers you claim to care about.
When given an opportunity to explain yourself, you hide behind "call the reporter" or "why won't you help," never once explaining why we SHOULD help.
At this point, I can only assume--based upon your presentations-- that Pine is just one more wrongdoer in this, not a victim, and that he, and you, simply want to manipulate this site into blackmailing a little more money out of the taxpayers.

Behind Liberal Lines- If you had actually read the articles and comments you wouldn't be making such remarks since the questions you raise have been raised and answered in previous postings.
I cannot speak for you or Pine or anyone else. My point of all this is that I and others simply do not want our hardearned taxmonies being wasted by Ithaca officials for schemes that do nothing but enrich a handful of dubious characters at OUR expense.
Now, regarding yoour neighbor Mr. Pine, according to the local press reports, Ithaca officials threatened Pine that if he did not sell his property to their pal Ciminelli, they would use eminent domain to take it from him and hand it over to Ciminelli themselves. As I am sure you agree, that is NOT right. Ithaca officials are supposed to serve the public not themselves.
I understand the town's paper recently reported that Pine signed some sort of option agreement. If that is the case, then you are right, Pine has no right to complain anymore. But what about the other co-owners? What EXACTLY happened with their ownership share? Why hasn't there been ANY coverage? Since taxpayer monies are involved damn right I want to know what these Ithaca weasel officials are doing. Don't you?

Contact the City Records departmant and ask for all documents under the New York State Freedom of Information Law that pertain to the above matters.
Once you get same, send them to the Ithaca Journal and Ithaca Times and/or write a letter to the editors of those papers with what you discover.
And let us know.
Good luck.

Behind Liberal Lines- DUHHHH! That's the problem. This was done already. Read- don't skim- READ the postings.
BTW, why are you so against holding those sleazy Ithaca officials accountable? Why do you call Ithaca the City of Evil?

This was done already. Then answer the question:
What EXACTLY happened with the others' ownership share?
Who are the other owners?
How much did they get?
When was the deal consumated?
What are the terms of the deal?
Thanks

Translation: you don't have any facts to back up what you allege, you are LYING to freepers and simply want us to harass elected officials, and risk arrest, to further your own personal agenda.
Since you cannot-or WILL NOT-explain the basis for your position, you are obviously either a someone who hopes to profit from this deal (or increase his/her profit on the deal, and/or void an existing deal you feel was signed "under duress") or a complete obsessive nut job of John Hinkley proportions.
In any event, I have no intention of continuing this discussion, as I prefer to deal in facts and ideas, not vendettas.
Thank you and goodbye.

Lib-
Your defensiveness and attempts to change the subject speak volumes.
Why are you so opposed to holding these characters accountable for what they are doing with taxpayer monies?
Why do you refer to Ithaca as the City of Evil?
