Latest Piercing Rage: Tongue Splitting

Is it just me, or does anyone else's first impression of someone drop considerably if that person has a hoop or a little ball sticking out of their eyebrow, nostril, or lip?

It's not just you, but maybe it's just me and you. I don't even form a very high opinion of someone with tatoo's.

I meant I don't get the concept of piercing the toungue, nose, eyebrow (as a couple of my younger second cousins have done- yuck). And that picture of a cut tounge is just too gross for words. Poor mixed up child!

But do we need a law against it??? I am so sick of this mindset that says we need to make laws to protect people from their own foolish choices.

Ever wonder why the green hair spiked head look originated in England? Peter Boyles, a Denver talk show and TV personality, explained it recently. Seems like one can get a free income in England if they can't find work (money for nothin and your checks for free). Caveat is that thay have to actively look for work, so the youths of the street life started making themselves look obnoxious enough that they could apply for work legitimately without the worry of actually getting hired.

I have a feeling split tongues will have a similar effect here. Maybe we shouldn't outlaw them, just make the split tonguers inelligible for wellfare.
