Without mentioning George W. Bush, (Donahue) said only Congress can declare war and not the president. He said basic liberties are being undermined......by a "trend toward to the sword rather than a trend toward civility."

Civility? Where does this numbskull live? On the moon?

Never has our culture been as uncvil as it has since the rise of unfettered liberalism.

This is exemplified by the The NY Times' corruption scandal. The Times experience is a blaring social commentary about our culture and the moral relativity liberals have inflicted on us.

We are reaping the liberal whirlwind via the complete breakdown of civility and law, the enormity of the magnitude of crimes being committed, and the absence of any kind of moral restraint and personal responsibility (as Jayson Blair demonstrated).

The liberal mantra, "If it feels good, do it," was never more obvious than in the Blair case.

Liberal's political correctness atrocity is also to blame and goes hand in hand with liberals' sicko moral relativity.

America and our future as a stable society is at stake here. Liberals are cultural zeros and all of their inane policies have corrupted the culture to an abysmal low.

As epitomized by the conniving Clintons - liberal corruption is so endemic, it is tantamount to sedition

Others said a graduation wasn't the place for his political platform.

Amen. It was their day, not his. Typical rantings from a selfish leftist. It's all about me, me, me.

What liberals believe, he said, "is that no one in authority should tell you to 'shush,'

Liberals are against "shushing" only when it applies to blasphemy, profanity, and obscenity. They are the number one "shushers" when it comes to speech that violates their rationalist blueprints of "the good society" (such as ethnic slurs).

that executing retarded teenagers is wrong,

"Wrong?" As in "in violation of cultic Divine decree?" (And after all, what other valid definition of the concept is there?) I didn't know Phil Donahue was into believing that certain things were "wrong."

Donahue, 67, urged the graduates to help renew basic American constitutional values of free speech, separation of church and state,

I suggest that Mr. Marlo Thomas put his money where his mouth is and campaign for the repeal of all laws against murder. After all, what use is it to hypocritically campaign against the Ten Commandments if our supposedly "secular" government is actually enacting one of them into law??? Come on you ACLU types. Campaign against all legislation of sectarian morality or stand convicted before all the world as hypocrites!

and respect for the rights of minorities.

Ie, respect for simple-minded Bible-thumping Fundamentalists who believe all non-chr*stians must fry in hell for all eternity as long as they are of the politically correct pigmentation (in which case their fundamentalism, identical to that of their "redneck" neighbors, is arbitrarily declared part of a "revolutionary" culture).

"Take a liberal to lunch," he said. "Take a Dixie Chick to lunch."

I think Phil Donahue and the Dixie Chicks are among the "honest liberals" and "national bolsheviks" endorsed by the "true conservatives" over at Original Dissent--right up there with Joseph Stalin, Kim Il Sung, Yasser Arafat, Gore Vidal, Noam Chomsky, Norman Mailer, Ramsey Clark, and Lyndon LaRouche.

Does anyone know what the late Danny Thomas thought of the ultra-liberalism of his daughter and son-in-law?

That was not the time or place for that kind of talk! It was not HIS graduation day! He should have told the kids how to be successful in the business world and NOT insult half of the kids!
