There was 3500 at the last rally Dave put on. This one needs a lot of play. Thank you so much for your help.

Thanks for the bumps guys. There seems to be a lot of apathy regarding this thread.

It's gonna be 80 here today.
I think there are a lot of folks out doing family stuff, graduations, etc..
We ebb and flow a bit from time to time.. There will be a good crowd there, I'm sure! ;-)

The Vietnamese supported the last rally big time and now it's our turn to help them on Sunday.

Here's an email I received about the celebration in Reedsport:
"I don't know if you have been following the event planned for May 23/24 or not. It will be a patriotic weekend with a concert at the High School's Pacific Auditorium on Friday evening at 7PM. The concert will be a nationally recognized Barbershop Chorus that I was privileged to see last winter in Salem. They are really good and deliver an outstanding tribute to veterans.
Things are going well to obtain sponsors for the event, who will help us pay the booking fee. This maximizes the door receipts which will go to the Hahn Memorial Park Fund.
Tickets are $7.00 and we need help to sell the 600 seats in the auditorium. The Marine Corp Band will be guests for this performance and we look to community members to volunteer to purchase the 50 tickets required for that. Saturday we will have a Parade of Bands. Billing this as a Sousa Saturday we have attracted the Marines from 29 Palms and 4 High School Bands. The parade is filling up with float entries and will have 2 Television personalities as Grand Marshals.
MATS will deliver the Marines to the North Bend Airport and we pick them up to transport them the rest of the way. We also house and subsist them while they are in the community. We are soliciting assistance for this and the donation requested to co-host a Marine is $75.00. The Marines will be with us 2 nights and Ex-Marines in the community are quickly coming on board to help, along with others members of the community.
Eagles will serve a breakfast and the Masons will put on a barbeque late Saturday, after the Memorial Observance, which follows the parade. Safeway and Price & Pride will donate the groceries required. Many are getting into the act and it looks to be a great weekend. I hope you plan to be here.
But now the bad news, did you know that some in our community are not pleased with the military success in Afghanistan and Iraq? And they want bash our President.
I have been curious about the lack of support for this event at the schools, but thinking all the time, that they will get into it when the bands get here. Reedsport High School offers no musical support, even though it was courted in February. Yesterday I picked up a rumor that a "play presentation" is being arranged that will be anti-War and anti-Bush. It is scheduled for the 28th of May to my understanding. I don't know how school facilities can be used for a political event and have someone looking into this.
As much as I would like to have gotten political with this, we resist the opportunity.
Yesterday they told me that ticket sales were going good with us older folks, but the younger ages that really need a shot of Patriotism are apathetic about the affair.
I thought you might have a local e-mail list that you could forward this to, and maybe add your endorsement. We need to get people out for these events!"
