I may be a bit biased. ;-))

No wonder God blesses America. We forget what kind of people we really are because, day to day, we're only shown our weakness. It's time like this when we discover the strength that quietly keeps this country going.

Our military is mightly, not just because of our technology, but because it is fueled by overwhelming love.

Somehow, his district was made aware he was visiting wounded here in Germany, and people from his district in Indiana had supplied him with letters for our soldiers, sailors, and airman at the hospital and also for Iraq.

Somehow, indeed. Samwise, how much of this is to your credit?

(Dang Hobbits, always getting adventures started.)

What a shame they don't mention Mike Pence by name!

Yes, it was Congressman Mike Pence. Someone (I don't know who) had suggested this and he was on WIBC a couple of times asking for people who wished to send something to get it to his office, and he promised to deliver them.

I am glad to see the project was so successful. Indiana is really a wonderful state. Everyone kind of forgets about us, as we are sandwiched between showier and larger states of the Midwest. As a life-long Hoosier, I am proud of the people of Mike Pence's district.

Hoosiers always make me proud. Well, most anyway. Except for the one that invitied Clinton to the 500. This, however, makes one thankful to be from Indiana.

Mel Simon is not a Hoosier. He is a squatter who arrived hear from parts unknown.

I don't think Clinton will be getting too much TV time at the 500. Tony George was at that super-elite meeting with President Bush on Monday evening.
