I would be very surprised if she is cowed into resigning.
I don't know Meg, but I imagine she's pretty bullheaded.

What should be done about politicans that get in office with shady fund raising?
As it is today they are slapped on the wrist, fined and that is that.
Obviously the jobs are lucrative enough ( Kickbacks, favors, expense accounts, chairman of the board posts) to attract unethical financing.
My solutions are void the election and not allow the violator to run.
Or give the job to the losing opponent.

Good Morning!
Fight! Fight!
Phipps is the daughter and granddaughter of North Carolina governors. Her father, former Gov. Bob Scott, said he called Easley and told him he has no right to ask Phipps to resign. His call came after Easley's second request for her to step down.
To: Constitution Day
she can't resign, it is the only thing she has to offer in a plea agreement

I just heard on the 2 PM news that she said again today she will NOT resign. I love this. She bought her seat, she just didn't realize she was on the installment plan.
I hope she stays in till the next election.
When they're in a hole, let em keep digging.

My mother is eating this up; Bob Scott, her father, was a friend of our family back in Alamance County.
The Scott have the ONLY cow tunnel under a state road in North Carolina; they didn't want their cows to go across the road, so "the state" built them a TUNNEL for their cows!
Crooks, the lot of them.
