A semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General. In making the determination, there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any Federal law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and a firearm shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event.

Well, there goes the Remington 870 pump shotgun, all the Mossberg pumps, 1911 .45's, etc, etc. All the feds would have to do to ban a firearm would be to have the ATF buy one, and report that it had done so. And the ATF would not have to justify why it bought a black powder muzzle loader.

Visualize President Hillary and Attorney General Schumer.

That is a nightmare from which psychotherapy might be needed to overcome. It's bad enough having both of them anti-constitutionalist gun-grabbers representing NY.

No Dan. This is by far the most important part of the bill.

That spells out unF*ng constitutional, in so many words.

The text of that Phrase specifically goes against the "efficacy of a well regulated militia" language in Miller.

I had just become used to being called a vigilante and militia member

When they start calling your house a 'compound', look out.

"And to all the honorable Congress critters who have attached their names to this abomination, I have but one thing to say...F**k this s**t. You're forgetting who you work for.

What you said, with no asteriks AND capital letters. They have broken their oath to uphold the Constitution and should be relieved of their duties. They are breaking laws---not us.

"There is no reason to fear productive, law-abiding, freedom loving, armed Americans UNLESS you are fixing on harming them."

Exactly--now we just have to figure out why they fear law abiding, tax paying citizens and what the long term plan is for the entire, disarmed population. In the mean time, I expect AR-15 sales are probably going to hit an all time high!

LOL....Thankfully, he is part of an ever decreasing minority.

However, that quote is a good one to commit to memory, and everytime a liberal retreats to "Miller", then you can hang him with his own logic.

Hey you guys are missing all the fun!

Shouldn't you be telling us how supporting the President's signing this bill is the best thing to do for the GOP and conservatism in America today?

Where is "our" Elite Republican Guard?

I agree with you except, I don't believe gun owners are the ultimate target.

I believe the American people are and they can't oppress the people the way they want to oppress them as long as the gun owners have their guns.

Au contraire, mon ami. They know only too well who they work for. Novus ordo seclorum, don'cha know.

Perhaps they'll understand this, then: Ne Conjuge Nobiscum.

Visualize President Hillary and Attorney General Schumer.

When you do that, does your mind's eye insert a plex or mil-dot reticle? ;-)

(CARNIVORE/ECHELON notation: Just a joke, boys.)
