I hate to be cynical but I'm not impressed. I have been at BNA for flights or to meet folks and seen overweight Guard guys and gals strolling around toting their M-16/AR-15 variants and I was not impressed like I would have been if it were these guys: Or these:

UMP. I believe that you can get one if you want to go through the paperwork hassle. They were designed for police departments who cant afford MP5 variants. The MP5 has the delayed blowback rollerblock action and is just much more expensive to manufacture. I think that they cost about 60 percent of what an MP5 goes for.
I have a USC also and its a fun little gun to shoot, it just looks a little funky.

It is funky isn' it? My brother has the SL8(?).223 which I must confess I do not like as well as his Bushy V-Match. He loves HK...he would own every model they have ever made if he had the $$.
The UMP comes in .45 and .40 right?
The MP-5 is 9MM but also comes in .40 and even 10MM once upon a time?...right?
I confess. I am not a black gun expert. i have had experience with a number....primarily FN knockoffs used by Brits in West Africa called SLRs or something like that.
Long time ago...I only frontloader hunt now but I try to keep up.

Archy....I'm stumped...looks like altiplano terrain with east bloc tools...where is that? Hehhehheh...It's Afghanistan, near Dasht-e Leili. They're contract Gurkha security personnel. Yeah, much of the hardware is Sovbloc leftovers from the Taliban days, but not all of it. The ammo for M79s/M203 is a little more stable than some of the older PG7 and RPG18 AT grenades, and there's not too much concern about Taliban armoured formations anymore...which disappoints the AC130 crews all to hell.

The MP5/10 was the first attempt by HK to manufacture the MP5 in a more powerful caliber than 9mm. 10mm Auto, also called the Centimeter, is one hot caliber. At the time of the request for this new caliber, the FBI was hot on this cartridge, since the .40 Smith & Wesson had not yet been invented. It was the FBI that provided the substantial financial motivation for HK to retool for the more powerful caliber. FBI has about 1,400 of these MP5s in inventory, but aside from them, the 10mm MP5 has been eclipsed by the sale of the much more popular MP5/40.(from HKPRO.com)
The UMP comes in .45 .40 and 9mm.
I love HK's but I just cant afford to indulge much these days. Kind of like my love for Porsches.

Thanks for the info.
I love Porsches too. I had an 84 Targa in the late 80s but now with 6 direct dependents and 2 others I'm "responsible" for...well....I'm outta gas literally.

I think about 550 pages, the final-final version hasn't been put into PDF format yet. It has to be a multiple of 8, that's how they come off the press before being cut. Any left over pages will become a glossary of terms etc.

Does the FBI call their 10mm MP5s the MP10, or what? Do they have any special internal nomenclature for it that you know of?

I'd prefer that as well, whatever the environment.
BTW: I noticed she was handling a nice firearm as well.

The polite term for such troops, including the female rifle instructors at the Israeli sniper training school at Mitkan Adam, is Chen Here's a couple:
