I remember seeing a lot of news footage of Cobra's supporting our British troops at Basra... great footage could see up to four aircraft at once repeatedly going in for the attack. These were probably some of the cobra's involved... amazing stuff.

This is a great post -- thanks. We should all remember this when some know-nothing person says our victory in Iraq was a walkover. The U. S. military only makes victory
look easy. The reality is that they did a lot of hard fighting. And before that these folks have been doing years and years of very hard training.
I like this piece so much that I won't nitpick about the part where he gives full credit for our victory to Marines on the ground, without any mention of the equally tough work done by the U. S. Army.
