"They are cutting positions all right...janitors, teachers, paras etc. Is there one administrators position cut? No way."If you cut the worthless administrative bureaucracy you would have enough money to run a whole separate school system operated on vouchers. It's not a question of more money, but how they are wasting what we give them already!

Where are the teachers making $60K a year with all that time off and excellent pension at 55? Maybe I can convince my fiance to move. She is a year-round, parochial pre-school director making $50K, pretax, after 19 years there and she isn't going to get anywhere near $39K if she retired at 55. I want to get her out of California anyway...maybe this will be an incentive.
