Would that be the Bilderbergers or the CFR or the Trilateralists? You can drop all the names you want, Stochastic; we're still not letting you join.

Bible Scholars help me out here (Tortoise?)... Hey, don't ask me. I'm not the Biblical scholar here, I only mentioned that my father had an immense amount of expertise about this stuff, some of which rubbed off on me. You'd be better off asking Google than me these days. I'm mostly a math/science guy.

This is just so the 666 post (next) will be mine!
To: js1138
You were shooting for this, perhaps?
To: Right Wing Professor
Now that you've claimed the prize, FC can post again. Notice he took no chances.

BWAHAHA! So if he posts 666, Satan will come and claim his servant?
I bet that could be arranged.

I stand corrected. I was told that my interpretation of Babylon is incorrect. Now, all we gotta do is work on your interpretation of Genesis.

TOUCHE. Damn, I hate when I miss an obvious zinger like that... but glad you were there to pick it up.

I hate when I miss an obvious zinger like that... but glad you were there to pick it up. It's a talent I've inherited from my hunter-gatherer ancestors. I'm good at grabbing the low-hanging fruit.

No offense, but I don't think you are qualified. I know. Only you can change your own mind. All we can do here is present facts. After that, you're on your own.

It's a talent I've inherited from my hunter-gatherer ancestors. So this is your grand-dad?
To: Right Wing Professor
So this is your grand-dad? Don't laugh. Go back far enough (in some cases not very far) and we've all got some dude like that for an ancestor. The trick, which some have yet to learn, is to improve on the past.

Nonsense, there is nothing in the second law of thermodynamics that says
how entropy is going to be maximized and there's also nothing that states that ordered structures must not arise in this process.
Have you ever seen Bénard convection cells? If not, I can tell you that the fluid is more ordered in this state than before these structures arise (but that should be self-evident). If you don't believe me you can do a google search on Bénard convection cells or go directly to
this page (and follow the links).
Oh, one more thing: the information content of a string is higher if it contains less redundancy so a string with no redundancy at all has maximum information content and is indistinguishable from white noise. However, just because a signal looks like white noise doesn't mean that it cannot contain a meaningful message for someone.
