Interesting - except for one minor detail. Most of the Robber Barons started in the early to mid part of the 19th century. Darwinism didn't come about until somewhat later. A good case could be made that Darwin was more influenced by the Robber Barons than vice versa.

There is a fact which seriously conflicts with your position. Darwin's "Origin of Species" was published in 1859. Also, notwithstanding your say-so, there is zero evidence that Darwin was influenced by the Robber Barons. Zero. Of course, if you have some evidence to support your position, I shall be pleased to consider it. If not, perhaps you might want to re-think your position about the relationship between Evolution and socialism.

Hello Dimensio,

It still comes down to evolutionists believing that billions of years of accidents are hugely more intelligent than all of the scientists in history.

Scientists are not even close to being able to recreate the massive amounts of sophisticated chemical messaging that continually takes place in our bodies. Interrelated mechanisms that confound scientists so much that they still can't deal with something simple like cancer.

There are thousands of highly intelligent scientists in Universities, at Pharmaceuticals and doing private investigative research. And billions of years of unintelligent events are supposed to be more capable of creating chemical experiments with billions of successes just to produce a simple organism.

Baffling!

It's not entirely clear to me what you're saying, but anyway, yes, nature most certainly can accomplish more than we can with all of our technology. One simple example -- all the construction companies in the world, with all the dynamite and all the bulldozers in the world, can't duplicate the Rocky Mountain range. What of it?

You chose a highly destructive creative example. You know, the tornado in the junkyard thingy. 747 or viola, a Navajo cliff dwelling with four hundred evenly spaced chiseled steps.

I wonder if we could drill or bunker bust down deep enough to create a man made volcano?

You chose a highly destructive creative example.

It was sufficient to make the point. Nature has time on its side, and with time, nature can accomplish things -- naturally -- that we cannot duplicate. Like evolution.

I love that stuff, I think that is why I liked the Matrix so much.

Anyway, we could really go into solipsism if we wanted to, because I find that very interesting, but it does freak some people out.

And I am NOT a materialist.

Thanks

scored to original music by Mark Lewis

If you can't convice with facts, get some musicians... BARF.

To go to the Galapagos and argue against evolution... shows just how ignorant these I.D.orks are.

God cares so much about the finches that he's going to make them into different species, just so they can have the privilege of eating different foods (and filling different evolutionary niches)? I doubt it. Evolution is reality, get used to it.

The theory of evolution is just that - a theory.

And the theory of Intelligent Design is crap

So nature is an intelligent designer, because it created an intelligent being called man?

Correct about socialism. But tell me, where has what you call "darwinism" been unsuccessfully tried? Please be specific.

And actually, Darwinism and socialism have absolutely NOTHING in common.

Now, if you had said Capitalism and Darwinism, I would have said, yes, they work on somewhat the same principle, survival of the fittest. And they actually both work quite well.

Darwinism for BILLIONS of years, capitalism for thousands.

Socialism is literally the opposite of "survival of the fittest" because socialism punishes excellence and rewards incompetence. Anyone who thinks socialism and the theory of evolution are somehow related demonstrates a total lack of understanding both concepts.
