Yeah for sure, all those things. Mrs. Mitchell should shut up before she buries herself.

"I heard, though, that he keeps asking for room service."
Good to see you too! Asking for room service eh? That doesn't surprise me. I still get a kick out of inmates blaming the officer for not waking them up when they're late for programs. I say to them: "Sorry, but this isn't the Holiday Inn. We don't do wake-up calls."

I'll bet a Judge will either deny the change of venue or only move it to say Redding or some such place. Where is Redding in relation to Modesto? My husband and I made many trips to CA for vacations years ago. One of my favorite little places was Santa Rosa ( I think that's the name).

"And who the hell comes homes from fishing, finds his late term pregnant wife missing and proceeds to mop the floor, have a shower and change clothes as well as wash his own clothes."
BINGO!! And that is what the prosecution will ask as well!!

I know, and knowing that Mark Geragos is going to 'undo' all those facts. How, spin...clinton style. Just like McDougal... I think MG is all about Mark, PR his reputation, and the other pundit heads, are backing softly on him because he is one of them.
But when you watch these pundits, watch the body language as they talk, they say one thing, the body language does another. Not all believe MG is taking the right card here.
His aim, to convince the jury that his client is either guilty, not guilty, or no proof, or ??? He just needs to get there, and doesn't care as long as he is in the legal rhelm...(just my opinions)
LOL...listen to re airing of Peterson case on MSNBC, Gloria Allred is on. She slips and calls Susan McDougal, Susan Mcdodo...ah...Mcdougal....lol...

Hey, great post about the witnesses! I said much the same thing myself later in this thread before I read yours. Great minds and all!
Any potential sighting of Lacy on the 24th is meaningless in that it does not exonerate Scott. The only thing it does is cast doubt on the time of desth theory.
There are always eye witnesses that claim to see people and later it is proven they were dead at that time. I also do not believe the Mitchells in this instance. If this is all Geragos has then Scott is in very deep trouble. as I believe he should be. Watch for the defense to try and seat the least educated jury they can. Much like O.J.

It's especially fun to watch the discredited Mickey Sherman of "Skakel is innocent fame" go to the mat for Scott Peterson. I loved that he lost the Moxley case after proclaiming that he was certain of his client's innocence. Like we should all accept that fact based on his personal credibility. We should all just accept his assertions as if he was there that night and saw his client not commit the crime with his very own eyes!
These defense attorneys are something else. They will say anything to win and do not give a hoot about the accused getting a fair trial. It's all about them. They are a narcissistic, despicable breed apart. No wonder they stick together!
Speaking of the Skakel trial, that one did a lot of good in helping to restore some of my faith in the justice system. The best and only real evidence was not forensics but simple logic. The jury recognized that the one and only reason Skakel would change his story and come up with the ridiculous "masturbating in the tree" statement was because he was guilty. A lame attempt to explain away the possibility of his DNA being at the scene. That was an intelligent jury. Scott's goose is cooked if we get one here.
The prosecution needs to put up a statisticion to point out the absolute incredible and miniscule odds of Lacy being found 80 miles from her home near the exact spot Scott said he was that day. A coincidence way too far fetched to be believed. Combine that with the affair, the cement mixing, the unaccounted 50 pound drum and weights, the neighbor that saw him with what looked like a tarp, the life insurance, change of appearance, the sudden boat purchase, etc. and with a smart jury he's toast.
Intelligent people look at too many coincidences for what they are, as much evidence of guilt as DNA or forensics. I knew O.J. was guilty as soon as I heard the limo driver's testimony and saw the cuts on his hands. Already too much coincidence for me.

The key to Peterson's defense will be the testimony of witnesses uncovered by McAllister, witnesses he says need to be protected, Brown reported."I'm protecting witnesses, because I have concerns for them if I go public," he said.
When some lawyer scumbag says he has "new evidence" in a case like this, it means he's going to come out with some outlandish theory slandering Laci, like tying her to drug dealers (isn't that what those creeps did to Nicole Brown Simpson?)

I read what you posted some time back (I think) about the impression that the Modesto DA left you with. You then said that he was going to make sure his star prosocuter was up to bat and it kind of left me with the impression that you know how good this guy is. Is that a correct assumption?

Most importantly they need expert witnesses that can testify without totally losing the jury in the too technical mombo-jumbo. Also, it is a MUST to have an expert that is not dependant on the DA for a job.

It turns out she may very well have known or suspected that Scott was cheating on her. But as for her being "okay with it", as Scott said, I think everyone on here has agreed that that would not have been the case.OH GOD! Please get that quote right! It was, "laci knew about the affair, and well...it wasn't something she was ok with or anything but it wasn't going to break....."

It was noted, I believe on the day of the 24th, that the house had a strong odor of bleach.I heard on that Primetime special that was shown recently that the police DID go into the home when they responded to the phone call. also, if they did NOT enter how'd they smell the bleach?

Oh, so that's what he said. I never have been able to see those interviews all the way through. Never mind the Sawyer ones, though--the ones I really want to see are those with that local reporter, that Maria Gomez or whatever her name is! Those have some tidbits in them, for sure.
So Laci wasn't okay with the affair? But OTOH, it wasn't anything that was going to break them up? Yeah, okay. That makes much more sense. I mean, it's certainly obvious that he had apologized to her for it and was doing everything in his power to make amends to her...
