I've had friends who have worn costumes for various events and have had miserable brats and teenagers looking for trouble give them all kinds of grief. Mostly a verbal warning was enough, but some kids just didn't know when to quit.

I put the blame squarely on the parents for not teaching their kids proper manners. These actors have the right to defend themselves from overzealous "fans"...
