Thanks for the heads up. Congressman Paul did a wonderful job on FOX this a.m., now I hope people, especially Freepers, will call their congressmen and senators and get behind his bill.

Why are we posting editorials in Breaking News?

President Bush should announce that he has told the UN to move out of America.

I'm sure that the UN has other programs for other countries as well --- and probably taking 2 percent or more administrative costs from each program. That adds up to a lot of pocket change.

He was on Fox 'n Friends this afternoon (your morning, though) and E.D. did a very good interview. She showed that she wasn't afraid to ask the hard questions, and didn't throw softballs like the Today Show does whenever they have their favourite lib/dem/soc/commies on...

Sorry, my bad. I must've clicked it by accident - I normally click it for other posts, and must have done so by force of habit.

Kofi Anan has called in the past for the moral authority of the UN to be implemented as regards the Israeli-arab conflict.
Which moral Authority?
Have you ever realised that all 5 permanent members of the security council are occuping other countries? Russia occuppies chechnya. China occupies Tibet and puts a strangelhold on taiwan. The UK occupies northern Ireland. France occupies the northern Basque country and suffocates Corsica from independence. And as regard to the USA, well... tell me a country where they don't have their forces in? They may be right to have their forces everywhere but some people regard that as occupation. in addition, syria and spain which are currently on the security council occupies lebanon and the southern basque country respectivly.

Beth,
Isn't there a difference between "occupation" and having troops in a country? If that were the case, then the Pentagon is probably "occupied" by 30 or so different countries.
If this were Froggyland, we'd have surrendered to ALL of them by now...

My dad was in Korea too. He's been debating sending his Korean Service medal back to the UN. With specific instructions on just where the Secretary General can stick it...
To: DocFarmer
I just might have to do that, myself. (Dad's been dead a few years -- don't think he'd mind.)

"U.N. Credibility" Using those terms in the same sentence should be avoided.

They weren't allowed to win. So true.
The US doesn't lose a war that it commits to win.

Excellent!
Its time to take off the UN supplied rose colored glasses and see things in black and white. America good, UN evil.

Before anyone calls their congressional representative they should get an idea of how that representative votes on issues the UN considers important.
Are we in luck. Follow the link for your representative's report card. Than compare it to Ron Paul's.
Then call.

Here's the program they have for the US. It's taken from
http://www.cunr.org which is currently having technical difficulties.
The mission of the Campaign for United Nations Reform is to build political will within the United States to promote a more democratic, accountable, and transparent U.N. system; and to increase the resources and authority needed by the U.N. system to achieve the goals set forth in its Charter. Recognizing that U.S. support is essential if the U.N. system is to be strengthened, the role of the Campaign for U.N. Reform is to lobby the U.S. Congress and Administration to take actions to achieve these goals, to make advocacy of a strengthened U.N. system an election issue, and to support the election and appointment of officials who share our vision.
We Americans have our work cut out for US.
