What I'm pointing out is that there isn't a lot of folks from the end of the line (Kenosha) that are headed into Chicago on Metra. Considering that while Kenosha isn't served by Amtrak, but both Racine (the Sturtevant stop is a few miles west of downtown Racine) and Milwaukee are, extending a local-stop service like Metra simply doesn't make one iota of sense.
We've already experimented with local train service up here when I-94 between Milwaukee and the edge of Waukesha (the busiest stretch of freeway in Wisconsin) was being resurfaced (extended the Hiawatha run to Watertown as a sop to Tommy "Train" Thompson). That was an abysmal failure despite heavy publicity and unprecedented Chicago-like travel times.

Metra runs real trains that use the same locomotives and tracks as the big boys. Still, while it makes sense in Chicagoland, it doesn't make sense in Milwaukee.
