I didn't know who she was before and I don't want to know now except to avoid watching her if she comes on TV

"But the Dixie Chicks are back on the air and their record is number one again," he said.Nice try, Mikey. They only went back up on the COUNTRY charts, and even that was due entirely to leftists going out to buy the record to "support the cause," not because they like the music or even know who the Chicks are, other than Bush-haters. And now it's back down to #3, annihilated by a new album you may have heard of: It's called "Have You Forgotten" by Darryl Worley, which DEBUTED at #1.

With Saddam toppled, these "Hate America First" types have no one to provide aid and comfort to.
They'll sit this one out (the time that they should be held accountable for their words and actions in opposition to Iraqi Freedom) and come back when there is something else they can bitch and moan about (like the nature of the government we establish).
Hollywood was never brought to bear the consequences of their support of Joe Stalin either. Sure there were the HCUAA hearings but they've spun that today to mean that there were no communists sympathizing with Joe Stalin (a man who killed more of his people than Hitler sent to the death camps) and that people had just as much right to be Communists in America as they did being Democrats or Republicans.

Where did you hear that Drew Carey was cancelled to make room for Garofalo? That simply isn't the case. ABC is contractually obligated to air one more entire season of Drew Carey, and it starts on June 25.

It doesn't matter how good Garafolo's sitcom might be, 30 minutes of her in a cage geting hit in the face with pies, dung, rotten tomatoes... You've got to admit that you'd probably be willing to tune in and watch at least the first episode of that.

"The concepts of right and wrong, good and evil are anathema to leftists."
That's a good point. Socialist philosophy really demands that everything be seen in shades of grey, else how possibly can everyone be treated differently and arbitrarily in the great effort to make them all equal?
What I have trouble understanding is why entertainers are so drawn to totalitarianism.

Good point, but don't watch the first episode. The ratings for the first episode will be the ones the leftist rags will be watching for with bated breath. We need a Neilson rating of 2% for the little sleaze. Unless you have a Nielsen box, they're not going to know what you watch. Just ignore it for the sheer pleasure of not giving the little shrew your time. :)

Someone needs to create a ping list, for Freeper households that are part of the Neilson's rating system. Then remind all of them, of their option to simply tune out Garofalo's premiere.

While they're apologizing to Bush and to the American people for being such ignorant asses about the war, in light of recent developments in Cuba, they also take time to apologize for supporting Castro and demand his resignation and arrest for crimes against the Cuban people. And the pig is now doing loop the loops over Miami.

The gibbet is too good for Hanoi Jane. Trample her with chariot wheels and feed the remains to pigs. (think the end of Jezebel)

I wish we would have given more publicity to the torture and all the abuses perpetrated by Saddam and Co so that these weasels could be identified as supporters institutionalized crimes against humanity.
That would be sweet to post their pictures side by side with mass graves and mangled bodies produced and then say; "We support the right to rule through murder and torture"... or something along those lines.

>>Prof. Howard Suber, founding director of UCLA's film and television producer's program, said the eerie silence from Hollywood was to be expected once American troops were on the ground in Iraq. <<
Maybe I just missed something, but isn't this just spin? Wasn't Hollyweird out in full force during the ground war? Didn't they start to hide after the fighting was over and the truth of Saddam's regime was undeniable (for sane persons)?

Don't you see that the "No Nukes" crowd only protests American weapons development and does not take of the issue of North Korean nuclear missle technology?
Maybe when one of the missles lands in their backyard they'll get upset but then it will be with the Republican President or Senate leader or governor, etc. because obviously something a Republican did somewhere got the N. Koreans mad at us and it was obviously the fault of some Republican that he did not do enough to prevent this action (or even he "knew" about it and let it happen anyway).

I think the problem for the Hollywood Anti-War bunch is that they were trying to strike a pose as compassionate, caring people. Then our troops marched into Baghdad and were hailed as liberators, and despite mumblings about 'No one knows what might have been achieved through peaceful processes,' it's apparent that doing things the Anti-War way would have a bloodthirsty tyranny in charge of Iraq.

What I have trouble understanding is why entertainers are so drawn to totalitarianism. Because they all know that socialism works - for those in charge. They've become accustomed to seeing themselves on top in their sick utopian dreams of power and control.

Have to wonder if people could manipulate Soundscan's tracking of album sales by a concerted effort to buy someone's album (near the top of the charts) and then return it to stores unopened a week later.
