I've scanned through the article in German (Post #26) on the website of ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fehrensehen) (2nd German TV Station). The parents of the 17 year old filed a missing persons report with the German police yesterday. They found letters in his room in which he declared his desire to go to the Middle East to fight as a holy warrior against Israel. Also described himself as a follower of Osama bin Laden. He apparently wanted the bus to be driven to Munich, where he wanted to force the release of some Islamic militants imprisoned there, using the hostages as leverage.

I doubt that he has had any chances to arrive in Munich - in Germany, police is allowed to shoot a hijacker to prevent harm from the hostages, and they probably had done so in the darkness.

in Iraq! Maybe some American Special Forces in Afghanistan could accomodate your desire?
