Sigh... If only there was a strong conservative leader in the UK.

I'm sure he appreciates it! And if not, remind him. :-)

Can't say he isn't noticed! Well he hasn't shown me how to do the coloured bits yet. Or taught me the extended political-science commentary. But hey! I'm doin' me best! ;-)

impregnable fortress of real Labour values.
Socialism = fascism. Their words betray them.

Is that a 'cuban' cigar? ;-)

It seems to me legally. If the letter is there the letter is there. He doesn't have much of a case against the newspaper. He might want to sue SH or the office that had the file. Now that would be INTERESTING!

Agreed. The only change I'd make would be to say BILLIONS, not just millions! (Read threads on Rush's today's rant.)

The Telegraph would not have printed the allegations if they had not verified the memos. Galloway is guilty.
But I don't doubt he'll get re-elected in Scotland even if his corruption is proven.

Does anyone know of any boards in the UK, similar to FreeRepublic?
I'd like to know what the buzz is over there. I listen to the local Pacifica station (masochistic, yes) and have heard this guy in the past. I hope someone takes his place. Who else will be able to joust against?
To: hellinahandcart
Yes, it is!
And I'm hoping that we here in the United States have a "lucky winner" drawn from Saddam's files any day now!
I have a few names I'd LOVE to see smeared like this.......LOL.

His main defence was that if the accusations were true, the UN would have him listed as one of the select few entitled to profit from the oil-for-food programme. This is right up there with one of the other "defenses" spouted this week, namely by Scott Peterson's attorney -- namely that Scott didn't know Laci was pregnant!

You have to figure Saddam tried the same thing here in the States, no?

The Brits used to subject traitors to the hangman's noose. Not a bad idea all around.
