"big deal, so we broke a bunch of stupid clay pots."

Exactly.

Notice how the first few paragraphs bashes Hannity then it quickly turns into a Bush bashing article. He only used Hannity for an excuse to open his anti-Bush diatribe.

This has been the pattern of late with the left. The 'letters to the editor' follow the same pattern. Its almost as if they were "coached" to write in that manner.

And here's something else to think about....what if we HAD put troops there to prevent the looting thieves? How would they do that??? Put shooting them, that's how.

And, wouldn't the left just LOVE THAT? Then all of a sudden they're no longer looters or theives....they become INNOCENT CIVILIANS

Don't think for A SECOND, that it wouldn't play out JUST like that.

Lastly, HOW COME THE HUMAN SHIELDS DIDN'T PREVENT THE LOOTING,Hmm?

Is Charley a liberal?

I think his official party affiliation is as a Grumpy Old S.O.B.

I was watching CNN News (mistake #1), watching the 9 clowns... Sharpton couldn't pronounce any big word correctly... He tried using these big words, and sounds like a bafoon...

Where are the critics there? Instead of laughing him off of the stage, so many of the libs brag about how "articulate" he is... What a joke.

The KKK line gets on my nerves too.

Don't you just hate it when a present day statist and former KKK member is still referred to as a former KKK member, by a radio person who usually does a good job at defending freedom?

Ha, ha--maybe he can refer to him as Robert "Present Day Statist" Byrd just to liven things up a little.

When he takes a call on the radio, he'll initially let the caller talk, but then rush him/her after about a minute as though he's trying to get as many calls in as possible, rather than focusing on the content of the call.

You've nailed it. This is precisely what separates Sean from Rush: Rush actually listens to his callers. With Sean, you get the feeling that he's simply waiting to barge in again.

It takes more concentration to listen than it does to speak--perhaps someday Sean will grasp this.

There is a definitely a whiff of anti-intellectualism — so characteristic of fascist states — in the air.

That is the stench of a once morally superior military which defended our freedom dying for partisan politics. It has been replaced with one for used conquest in the name of "good cause."

Now just remember that a few short months ago, everyone on Free republic loved this guy.

It's scary.

But I'd bet the farm that you're clueless as to why.

Both, a past KKK member and a present day statist are one and the same. They are both anti-individual. Robert "KKK" Bryd is an apt designation. ;)

he's spot on regarding Hannity.

Sean makes Rush look like king of the Mensa's.

But many on here want to see him run for Congress.

On second thought, maybe he'd raise the average I.Q.

So why are you not blaming the Iraqis?

I am blaming some Iraqis.

The ones who did the looting.

"God help anyone who depends on Sean Hannity to give him or her daily intellectual stimulation."

Maybe he isn't an Einstein or a Limbaugh, but he's incredibly enthusiastic about his patriotism, his love for America, and God -- and how bad is that?

I'm not on the Left, but I think the looting of that museum was a tragedy.

Save your breath. The open-mouthed-breathers (who are rapidly making up the majority of posters here) will eat you alive.

#1: Does anybody actually believe there was anything left in that museum by the time we got there?

#2: When we were two days out of Baghdad, I don't recall Charlie Reese or anybody else saying that we had better be sure to protect Iraqi antiquities once we had taken the city. Monday morning quarterbacks don't score any touchdowns in the real game.

What would God be more happy with - that we protected a human life or we protected a thing of the world.

I'm sympathetic to this argument, but I believe it frames the whole issue unfairly. Given the choice between a human life and "a stupid clay pot," who wouldn't choose to protect the life?

Do you remember about 8 months ago when the Palestinian terrorists were holed up in the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem? At the time, there was a vocal group on FR--Christians, no less--who were saying "To hell with the church, it's just a bunch of old stones and mortar anyway. Bomb it, kill the terrorists inside, and ensure that they never take another innocent Israeli life."

But the Israeli government, thank God, didn't see it that way. It was a false choice, just as I believe the choice between American troops' lives and old Mesopotamian pots is a false choice.

Don't be so sure. Check out the replies--an awful lot of thoughtful discussion and disagreement.

I'll take the average FReeper's approach to an issue like this over Sean Hannity's anyday.
