'Actually, when I knew Nicole she seemed to think that there was nothing better than Scientology,' said Kelly Preston wife of John Travolta.Uh huh. And what else would we expect Preston to say? Within the cult it is a "high crime" to "invalidate" Scientology, i.e. present it in a less-than-perfect light. No doubt announcing that a high-profile celebrity found Scientology unsatisfactory or kooky would qualify.
Just as an aside, for all his other faults, Mike Farrell has been publicly critical of Scientology in the past and taken his lumps from the cult.

Believe you me, Choice #1 didn't even appear on Big Tom's radar. He does not bat for that team.Situations like this almost make me question the existence of God. How could anyone have Kidman as their private concubine and NOT TAKE HER?!?!?! Meanwhile I'm getting rejected by fast-food employees.
The earth is just not properly tilted on its axis.

I remember reading about the Scientologists leaving rattlesnakes in the mailbox of someone who, I think, tried to leave their gang.

Bottom line -- it's a cult.
I don't know. They don't worship anything.
No praying, no superstition. It's more
like a multilevel ripoff scheme. Isn't the
only difference between a cult and a religion
the size?

Looks like Uma Thurman. She's married to Ethan Hawke I think.

That's kind of backwards. The point isn't protection, except in the manner of a protection racket. The Scientologists pry all of their Hollywood victims' indiscretions out of them during the "auditing" process, and then use the confessions as leverage to ensure their obedience and loyalty.
