I'm shocked and stunned, the human shields were not really concerned with peace in the first place??!!

Is this Russian intel inventing reasons for there to be such a stunning victory again?

If that proved impossible, a place should be agreed upon where an Apache helicopter could land somehwere near Baghdad to take them away.

What, by having them hang onto the skids?

Errr, Apache helicopters carry a two man crew only. They aren't transport choppers.

Got me, I suspected all along that 200 'human shield' folks were a bit too many (numerically wise) to lay down their lives for Saddam.

There are not that many crazy peaceniks out there..

Compare and contrast:

American war in Afghanistan vs. Russian war in Afghanistan.

American war in Iraq vs. Russian war in Chechnya.

There might have not been that many Second Echelon commanders left who mutinied against Saddam.

This blows the whole disinformation plan.

Yep, that Apache helicopter is going to be real crowded and overweight.

Could be a bad translation... it might read, an Apache Helicopter would TAKE THEM OUT. :-D

Well, not sure we would have done better in their position. We just learned from their mistakes.

BUT, I would admit that the Russians are stuck on the heavy infantry model, which is kinda dated.

The Ruskies will continually loose if they adapt our method of warfare (which we adapted from elsewhere).

Actually, with the right length of bungy cord you could attach each Iraqi leader to one of the missles on the Apache, climb to altitude, point in the direction the Iraqi's want to go and simply "dispatch" them ;>

" ... What, by having them hang onto the skids?"

Would you say that this just blew the credibility of the story right out the window?

The Arabs need to find some excuse, other than they lost, really really bad.

Arabs and Russians believe all sorts of urban legends.

The plain truth is too simple for them to grasp.

All I know is that the coalition laid an ass whoopin' on the 'elite' Iraqi military. If a couple of our spooks were embedded with the Human Shields I hope they were treated for lice.

Using the shields to imbed CIA seems brilliant. We might not have been so tough on the shields. I wonder if they'll try to sue the CIA?
