This may compile my feelings about the war and my anger at the opponents better than anything I have read. I am especially furious at the churches, both the RCC and mainstream protestant. Religious leaders that cannot even keep themselves from criticizing a society that is defending itself, not to mention liberating a people, deserves none of my money or allegiance. It will be a long time before I trust them spiritually.

Can we get this article listed in the right-hand column or the official bump list, please? It is too good to let scroll off the immediate board.

A huge ^5 to Joel Kotkin and Fred Siegel! What a fantastic article!
" But with the war in Iraq, those on campuses who, like Al Jazeera, believed "Baghdad Bob's" account of events discovered that lo and behold there is such a thing as an empirically grounded reality."
Baghdad Bob's press conferences were delicious for those of us "empirically grounded in reality." He could not have done any better had he been a CIA operative.
Then, again, who's to say he wasn't?;o)
This definately deserves a bookmark.

My pleasure. THis thread needs to be read. :-)
To: nopardons
It surely does!
To: nopardons
Thanks for not giving me grief about my screen name.;o)
Just bumping the thread...;o)
To: dixiechick2000
Oh, I would
NEVER do a thing like that. You've been here longer than I've known about that horrid group of cretins, who deserve every bad thing they're now getting. :-)
Bumpity Bumping myslef. LOL
To: nopardons
I like to call them the trailer trash trio of twits.;o)
I've received some back-handed, and some outright in-your-face, comments about my nic. However, like you, I had not heard of them at the time I chose my nic.
I was born and raised in the deep South, my family is there, and my heart will always be there.
And, that's the way it is...;o)
BTTT!
To: dixiechick2000
Oh, I like your name for them !
As to why you chose your nic, I figured that it just had to be something like that. :-)
To: nopardons
Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt. ;o)
I'm afraid that I have to go to bed, however I will bump this in the morning.
It was good talk to you and I hope to see you around.;o)
To: nopardons
"horrid group of cretins"That's good, too. ;o)
To: dixiechick2000
Yes, we've had a lovely chat; I've enjoyed it too.
Well, since I've seen you here, far longer that I've known that there were a trio of cretins, out there, using YOU nic...of course I wouldn't confuse you with them. I do have more than three working brain cells; unlike those who've given you a bad time here.
Pleasant dreams.
