IMO, it's a nice place to visit, but not to reside. Actually, California's still a great place to live if you live away from major liberal strongholds and/or don't feel compelled to make friends with your neighbors.

Come to think of it, NY is better but still a place that if you don't have to live in, don't.
I used to live in Los Angeles but I moved here to NY. Tooo expensive. I'm leaving. Unfortunately I'm headed to Wisconsin.
Is Montanna still free??

You know, this goes for friends too. I've had some disappointment when I've nurtured a friendship with someone to find out their crappy politics. It just was never the same after that. I no longer had respect for them and I began to see things in them that should have given me clues.
I'm trying to come up with some imperceptible questions that will give me a clue up front since I'm just so sick of investing time in friendships like these. More than likely I will probably refine where I participate in my interests. I love scrapbooking and was thinking of doing something that will probably alienate me from some of the scrapbookers I know currently, but what they hey;-) I'm thinking of starting a conservative scrapping roundtable where conservative gals who scrapbook can get together and we can discuss the issues of the day without having to educate lefties!

What a great idea! I had a friend at work, we got along just fine, went shopping together, ate lunch together occasionally/etc. Till 2000. You *know* what happened then. She spent the day AlGore conceeded to Bush crying. Boohooing. Because the environment would be so bad we'd all have to wear masks like in Tokyo and women would be forced into dirty coat hanger abortions again. *sigh*.

I Just freakin' knew the Tin Man was a homo.

The author makes some good points. Put the shoe on the other foot. A conservative woman on a date with a liberal man. Doesn't work either! I speak from experience.AMEN!!! I wasn't as big of a political animal as I am now, but there is no way I would have seriously dated a "man" who thought like Phil Donahue or Timmmy Boy Robbins. GAG!!! Panty-waists like them don't actually count as real men.
Hubby has assured me that had I been some leftist chick, we would have had exactly ONE date. My politics were a potential show-stopper in his mind, but I must have passed the test. Ten years later, we're still happy as hogs in mud.

My future daughters won't date till they are out of my house!!
Actually, once they finish college they can date. We are homeschooling and the girls should be finished w HS by age 14. Then they'll take a correspondence course (liberal arts) to bet a BS degree by the time they are 18. Then, if they date and make a mistake, then at least they have their future secured. (Same for boys).

WHAT ARE CONSERVATIVE MEN DOING DATING LIBERAL WOMEN when there are conservative women to be had?? Because leftist women are sluttier, more likely to shack up than marry, and will have abortions if they accidentally get pregnant?????

bump means that the post will "bump" to the top -- i.e. it will show up in the top of the "latest posts" list.
and if you are working on a laptop in your bathtub you would issue a "blupe" or "bloop", either one is acceptable...

But the article does note how the liberal controlled media portrays conservative men as grunting neanderthals. And that type of brainwashing of women is one the prime reasons that they try to avoid dating conservative men.

Oh my, that was good.

I'm envious but happy for you. Maybe Mr. Right is out there for me somewhere.

BS in liberal arts? Well, that's more apropos than the usual liberal arts degree.
To: lilylangtree
This is funny. I can picture most male single freepers reading this and going hey this is so true. I for one would not want a radical Right wing republican woman, we would not be able to fight about something political. My wife is a RHINO and she trembles when I want to run for office. She has to many skeletons in her closet.
I think it is ever Republican males goal to date a liberal woman and convert her over. You get the best of both worlds. Easy and then smart.
To: Caesar Soze
A real liberal arts degree from a real Catholic institution.
Think about it, they'll actually be able to think and discern!!
