I'm watching AL jIzZ-eErIe and testing out a new stream recorder I downloaded, WMRecorder 4.1; seems to work pretty good, you can watch and record at same time without using twice the bandwidth

Must have been a BBC Bugger.I confess in both cases I missed names and affiliations of the reporters. But in the Jessica story I posted and another poster independently described what we had seen. When the first report aired and it was discussed, others guessed it was shown on Fox because of the Fox/Sky News affiliation, which might explain why no commentary by the studio people at Fox.
Both times Fox aired the reports and at the conclusion the person in the studio said nothing but "moved on" to the next segment.
These are pieces of propaganda practically worthy of Baghdad Bob in the claims they make.
Very, very weird.

I've determined the best thing for Iraq would be paint. Does every building have to be brown?
Looks like south Las Vegas.
Nellis Air Force base looks the same way. I know this is camouflage when in the desert but it's ugly.

this morning I read the situation calmed. Some Kuwaiti Shias showed up to calm things. Has something happened since then?
Have you watched the cable tonight? I'd say CNN the best. Fox and MSNBC seemed locked on Syria and expertology. CNN showing prisons, Tikrit stories, palaces, etc. They had a nice story about reporters letting marines and locals use satellite phones.

Wasn't there a thread here today (?) about the hospitals being in disarray? I think so, because as I was reading it, I remember thinking how horribly biased it was.

Can you believe what you see on CNN? They do more non-reporting than reporting.

Can you believe what you see on CNN? They do more non-reporting than reporting. No, but maybe they're atoning. Tonight is video heavy, which I like. Amanpour had a very interesting piece about police reporting to the academy to re-up. Lots of interviews of Iraqis and letting them state their opinions and feelings. Had an old guy removed as chief of the traffic police in 1983 show up in his best suit. A lot of well meaning people.
In fact, I was struck with the lack of negative assumptions posing as reporting. Aaron Brown is not so bad too. They pulled the camera away from his face a little, made everything blue - set, suit. Sounds shallow maybe, but I always found his "red" presence irritating.
Fox had the best embeds, but not much seen today.

I did not see it, but the reporting on the hospitals has been mixed. But as soon as I saw Dr.Bob right at a hospital praising the quality of care available, and really praising the Marines for doing all they could to move things around to where they are needed, I knew we were moving in the right direction and it was not being neglected or not handled properly.
Yes, some things were taken, but the Marines and Iraqi staff were moving stuff in. Then tonight William Longjeneuss (I don't know how to spell it) showed video of the army bringing in the first boxes of aid to arrive from without and said they were open and getting back up to speed. I'll try to find that thread tomorrow (must go soon, taking daughter and her friend to zoo tomorrow and should get some sleep).

That's good news. But don't worry, they'll jump on doom and gloom when warranted.
Rick Leventhal was on Fox for a long time between 10:30 and 11:00 pm cdt tonight. Very good report.
I'm sure there are thousands of wonderfully competent Iraqis that can now get their jobs back. They mostly only lost them because they became "out of favor" with the regime.
Bush is going to have to stay tough and not soften our security. Only once those people feel safety will they move on. There will be mistakes made and the news will report every idiot that wants to harm us.
But we have to stay tough. We have to lay down the law. As the Army security forces move in, the Marines can come home. And I hope Bush stays the course on demanding we control security.
I just wish he'd be as tough on Congress.

lol, thats ok. I still have a ton of stuff I haven't had a chance to watch going back to before Day 1, it's gonna take a long time to organize in spare time. right now I'm catching up with old urls I sniffed from reuters to record but are no longer up for viewing:

footage from Apr 4 of Bdad night attack
Al-Jeezera shows a "schwarm" of Me-109s flying on the globe in it's opening graphic, how cute.
