I got so po'd listening to some United Nations Association(didn't know they even had one)guy on Fox News about what the United States should do by letting the UN take over in Iraq by making up with the French, Germans and Russians.

They were working with Iraq behind our backs. Why would we trust them to help rebuild Iraq?

He kept saying that we NEEDED the UN because, why would the United States want to do this alone? Well, excuse me, but I think we asked for help and they refused. They sided with Saddam.

No, we don't NEED the UN! They only cost us more money getting in the way to be less effective.

The Western oil company with the closest ties to the late Saddam is France's TotalFinaElf. That's not the curious fact, that's just business as usual in the Fifth Republic.
