this might have something to do with it, quote from the donation page...

Please note that in order to protect the Cardholder and Merchant, we compare the address information given here with the address to which your credit card statement is mailed. If any part of this address is incorrect, the transaction will be rejected.

it might be really picky... for instance "123 E. Elm" might not be close enough to "123 East Elm" or your middle name instead of initial... it depends upon what your credit card company has you down as.

anyhow, that's my take, and i've been wrong before.

Thanks, I'll keep trying (my hunch is the new card coming, since this one expires so soon, is fouling things up). Either way, FR will get money out of me -- if I can't do it by CC, I'll send off a check (although CC would still be preferable so gonna keep trying)

The problem with Kip's CC may be just a network communication problem between Authorize.net and the bank. I was in a restaurant one time and my CC was repeatedly rejected even though there was only a small balance on the card, payments up to date, etc. A friend had to cover the bill. About an hour or so later, I was able to use the card to buy gas.

I called my credit union the next business day and asked them why my card was rejected. They said that their network was down for an hour that day. It just happened to be the same hour I was trying to pay my bill. I always carry extra cash now.
