You must dislike that shall-issue conceal carry has been steadily moving into more and more states, year after year?
uh, no i don't.
i was just pointing out that you are resorting to logical fallacies to make your argument. and that you've never considered, nor care why people in poor, urban areas might decide that concealed carry does not make them feel safer.
anyway, gun ownership is a right, not a public safety issue.

Actually, I think I would care why these (hypothetical?) people living in poor urban areas think they shouldn't be able to carry firearms legally. However, before I worry about how misinformed they might be, I'm trying to smoke you out on your views. This is a political website, don't be afraid to say what you think.
Now, I am not going to say that every single neighborhood becomes safer the day after conceal carry is enacted. However, do you discount the county-by-county research of Dr. John Lott showing that shall issue conceal carry reduces violent crime? If so, have you considered starting an FR thread detailing your debunking of his writings?
"The biggest drops in crime are among women and the elderly, who are physically weaker, and in the high-crime, relatively poor areas where people are most vulnerable." -John Lott, source
i've already stated my view quite clearly:
gun ownership is a right, not a public safety issue.
if mr. lott's study had found the opposite effect, would you be ready to relinquish your right to bear arms?
