If true, or even if widely believed, this would explain the political support for Saddam and the real basis for the antiwar efforts by America's leftists, LeftyDemocrats, and other Saddamite trash. They see him as one of their own. This is easily the most ridiculous statement I've read in a long time.
I don't think it's the only reason of course. But I wonder just how many....
