Canadian companies have been shut out of the bidding for lucrative rebuilding contracts in Iraq, with the biggest going to companies with ties to the Bush administration.

To the victor go the spoils. To the vultures go what's left of the carcass.

"Canada should pull out of the war on terrorism "
Well.... from what I read over the weekend about the Canadian ships being ordered NOT to turn over Iraqis to the U.S. I would have to say ..... Please do pull out or at least clarify which side Canada is on .
The old addage " Actions speak louder than words" seems to apply here!!!

I have no problem with Canda or Candians, but your government in this matter dropped the ball completely! Little calf cowtowing and following its mother France... the sooner Canda makes Quebec stand on its own instead of sucking the blood out of the other provinces, and dragging them down, the better off the Western Hemesphere will be.

The Candian government should be absolutely ashamed of itself, it has troops in the field in Iraq, warships in the gulf and the leadership is still pandering to the anti-american crowd while Candian's are risking their lives... its unconscionable.

UN policies towards Iraq are driven by European profiteers. French, German and Russian arms dealers and oil companies — including TotalFinaElf, in which Jean Chretien's son-in-law is a major shareholder — had multibillion-dollar contracts with Saddam.

Here is the truth about the Canadian governments stand on Iraq...

I am so sick of the US being portrayed as only interested in money, when it is undeniable that the western nations that opposed the removal of Saddam clearly were traiding money for blood and repression, not the US.

Parliment if it had any character at all would be removing Chretien with a NO CONFIDENCE VOTE.. but of course they won't.

"Canada should pull out of the war on terrorism and withdraw any funds supplied to the World Bank for reconstruction. It should also send a bill for taking in 100's of US planes and putting up and feeding 40,000 Americans for a week on 9/11."

Frankly, I'm surprised they haven't already.
Musta been an oversight on Crazy Chretien's part, eh?

"Canada was 4 weeks away from supporting the war effort."

And always would have been!

The evidence of this situation was clear 12 years ago, another month? Canada needed another Month? Please, the facts were on the table, and everyone knows what the facts are. Your "where are the weapons" nonsense is just cover for a failed stand.

Your government has betrayed her own people to pander to the anti-americans. No government does the things Chretien did, when troops are in the field (and yes there are Candian troops in the theater in harms way in Iraq, and have been since day one, under UK command, may only be a handful, but Chretein knew this.)

As to WMD's, we're still fighting the war, or in case you missed it. Because we didn't stumble upon the weapons while removing a sadistic regime from power means they don't exist? Please we liberated a nation faster than Canada could make up its mind. The WMD's will be found.

Your government completely and absolutely betrayed itself. Canada had a long history of standing for liberty in the face of evil... regardless of who sanctioned it... sadly Chretien believes Candaian soveriegnty is subservient to UN Obstructionism... good call, really.

Perhaps one of you punks should come up here and shit on the graves of dead Canadians from the 40,000 of us who went to Vietnam even though it wasn't our war either.

Canadians also fought well in World War II, that was then, this is now. Like it or not, your country is irrelevant in world affairs; a third rate nothing of a country that has about as much to offer as Tahiti.

Call me when you have something besides vitriol to offer as a response.

LOL! Call me when you have something intelligent to say.

Exactly. Here's a Vegas analogy. I don't wanna pay for a seat to wager at the blackjack table. Everytime someone else wins, I want some free chips too!
