I think you meant "no one"...But, nice try. No one but you fairtax clowns who claim competition would force companies to lower their prices 20 to 30%...(though that isn't even possible) and those who didn't would "lose market share".

Would somebody tell me how the FairTax would affect me if I was to buy a new car?

The price would be increased by 30% or more depending on where you live.

A $30,000 car would be in excess of $39,000 after the federal gross payment tax.

If you live in a state with a 7% sales tax it would be:

$30,000 + 7% = $32,100

Plus license fee(?)30% tax on fee's too)

Plus $9588.00 (23% "of the gross payment" tax)

Total....$41,688.00 (not incl. license or 30% tax on license fee)

( .23 X $41,688 = $9588.00)
