Everything you say may be true. That still doesn't mean the mullahs will go quietly. Why would they?

The islamic world is shakin' and bakin'. They better realize they'll be seeing Allah much quicker than planned if they don't climb aboard the bus. You're either with us or your with the terrorists......(take a listen France).

Well, the Taliban didn't go quietly, but they went swiftly.

The Ba'athists haven't gone quietly, but they didn't last three weeks from the day the Marines and Army hit the border.

The Ayatollahs may not go quietly, but if there is an uprising--maybe supported by U.S. airpower, for example--they'll go, and they'll go quickly.

As long as Iran continues to fund and support terrorism against the US ally, Israel, I see no reason for normalization.

I think the news of 2 religious leaders getting hacked to death in Iraq caused the pucker factor to increase slightly on the Iranian side of the border

"Now that the ruling ayatollahs have realised the danger that looms over their head, that this American Administration is serious in its menaces, they try to get out of the pit in which they had plunged themselves", commented Mr. Ahmad Ahrar, a seasoned political analyst.

The US is "serious in its menaces" and Iran is in a "pit."

Good to see they recognize the reality, wherein an unelected mullah-terror-supporting-dictatorship runs the place.

And the majority of "subjects" doesn't like it. That is a pit.

The mumbo jumbo by the mullah faction is "Al Taqiyah" or in other words, justification for lying. Not to be trusted, no matter what they say.

The mullah regime needs change. Not just minor change, for the sake of retaining power. The Afghanistan/Iraq type of change.

"Especially in light of the fact that sabers are being ratteled toward Damascas and not toward Tehran."

Just be patient. It can be certain that Iran and Syria will continue trying to hold off the inevitable confrontation, because they are known to be the biggest supporters of terrorism.

Money and safe harbor. We'll be coming after them, in due time.

Your post 67, LOL.

So true, being a Cleric doesn't afford any kind of safety these days. There is a public uprising...and they are wise to get on the proverbial bandwagon!!
