Awww, the good old days before they closed everything down at 2 am.

I won't bother to post the wild times we had with the 3-midnight crowd of waitresses...the clubs until sunrise, the lakes, the cabins, the orgi.....nevermind! lol Oh, the 70's!

I lost the CBS cam but the NTV cam shows no smoke.

I hadn't been there but a couple of weeks when Jay Mathis was running for Congress against Chet Edwards. HE came to speak at Chapel. He's in the middle of speaking when I see these guys bust in run across the stage, down the aisles, and throwing this newspaper to everybody. I was like, "ummmm ok".. So after chapel I picked the Rope up, went to New Testament class and started reading it. I remember pissing off my prof b/c I was cracking up in class at the articles and ads.

Wife and I had a good talk on that today. I've got her convinced (and she'll convince all her friends :-), but you're right -- it's not to be.

She's ready for us to clean up the whole neighborhood: "Well, why shouldn't we 'do' Iran, Syria/Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia while we're there? The Democrats are complaining about the cost -- we could spread it out and save the bucks! And what about Pakistan?" I tell you, folks, this lady's got it together!

I was in Waco pre-Chet, but went to law school with Max Sandlin. He's a totally sold-out prostitute -- everyone knew he'd go into politics, but thought he'd probably be a Republican. He picked a Dem district, though, so he became a liberal Democrat. It's that easy, for those people.

Justice Pricilla Owen, too, was there when I started, and she is one sharp lady -- absolutely brilliant, constructionist all the way, one of the best judges we could possibly have.

If any of you can do anything to influence her confirmation this time around, stand up and do it! The U.S.A. can't afford to pass up this opportunity!
